Hotel le Toiny

This is our second stay at LeToiny and it was even better. Just a perfect little get away for me and my husband. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. I can't imagine there is a bad room. Our room was beautiful with amazing views. The hotel staff was also incredible - service top notch from the concierge/ front desk, to all the front doorman, and waitresses/ waiters. They were at our service and extremely friendly. They arranged our rental car, our airport transfer, reservations, etc. This hotel is also away from the hustle and bustle which we very much prefer. So a very quiet and relaxing vacation for us. We will definitely be back and we don't say that lightly as we like to change up our vacations.

This was our second time staying at Le Toiny and the experience was perfect. The hotel is in a beautiful location with amazing views from every room. We stayed in a Spirit Suite, which has plenty of space with a separate living room and bedroom, as well as a large terrace with a private pool. On this occasion, we took our young daughter and the hotel staff was extremely welcoming and took great care of all of us. Everyone working at the hotel - the manager, the front desk staff, the restaurant servers, the beach crew, and the housekeeping team - were friendly, hospitable, and professional. They made sure we had everything we needed and even arranged a baby sitting service to allow us some adult time out for dinner a couple of nights. I can't say enough good things about their team. The beach club area is very nice with a beach restaurant, separate pool, surf shack, and loungers with umbrellas. It feels serene and is a great place to unplug and escape the crowds and noise that are common in other areas. Transportation to the beach in their Defender shuttles is quick and easy. We have been to St. Barth many times and stayed in multiple other hotels and villas and can easily say that Le Toiny is our favorite. We can't wait to visit again.

This review is for my fellow American travelers to SBH (St. Barth) and thinking about where to stay. We've been going to SBH for the past 15 years, usually renting a villa or staying at the Rosewood, both being great decisions. This year, we opted to do something different and stayed at Le Toiny. To get to the point, we soon realized it was our bigest mistake. Hotel Quality & Location Le Toiny is neither a 5-star or 4-star hotel. The location is way at the bottom of the island—very secluded. Insects infest the area—bees and roaches. The beach itself is essentially worthless because the area is swarming with bees. We questioned the staff at the hotel as to why, and they explained that this was "normal" for the island. Let me make this clear: it is not—only this part of this island has this issue. Even locals friends assured us that locals avoid this side of the island due to the hight amount of insects. Cleanliness & Room Service Our room condition was not satisfactory at all. Floors were sticky, shower hadn't been cleaned for three days, and the only amenities we had were bed making and towel replacement. We didn't have a minibar filled until we complained—after three days. We also noticed an infestation of cockroaches in our room, which we blame for none existent housekeeping. Service Experience No service was offered. Each request was stressful, and there was no hospitality. We were not made to feel welcome and we were neglected. We tried to check out after the first night and pay for the first night that was spent, but we were denied our request. There was no attempt to correct the situation or better the experience after we complained. The pool has dangerous electrical risk—lighting equipment is sticking out, and live electric cables are clearly visible into the pool. This is very dangerous, particularly for children. The AC in the bathroom was not working as well. Moreover, as the villas are located deep in the forest, branches of trees constantly hit the roof at night, and it is impossible to have a good night's sleep. Final Thoughts If you're debating between Le Toiny and another reputable hotel like the Rosewood, do yourself a favor and avoid Le Toiny. The hotel lacks attention to detail, guest service, and basic hospitality standards—especially those expected by American travelers. We were forced to post this review not due to ill intent, but so other people would not have to go through the same letdown that we experienced. Le Toiny may look good online, but the reality it’s a nightmare, we you travel choose only big chains hotels to avoid this issues.

My wife and I have stayed here at least six times and it's always has been an outstanding experience. Entire staff is just as friendly and helpful as can be. Privacy and cleanliness are unmatched. Love it !

Super on the accommodations! Enjoyed the privacy and offered many extras! But, time to change the mattress, window blinds do not work and the grounds need a some attention. Other than that it was definitely a pleasant experience
