Clean and well located . Gentle and responsive staff. Amenities seem old and dated ( position of shower knobs can’t be accessed unless you stand below shower) , had unfortunate incident of bathroom getting locked and unable to open and it was 2am typed . Staff did come and fix it within 5-7 minutes but was scary considering the hour.

We had a short but enjoyable stay at Vivanta Guwahati. The food was great- both the breakfast and dinner buffets. But the care and warmth of all the staff members we interacted with both in the restaurant and reception was what stood out. Recommnded

A little bit far from city and temples except Basistha mandir, the staff are quite good. The Taj warmth is visible. But that housekeeping in Taj still needs to improve when 3 stay in a room. You have to keep reminding them. But otherwise a place worth staying. Food is good. Local delicacies are available. The booking staff are very helpful. The one thing scary is there is no staircase if you want to climb up or down, they have locked the doors. I requested but the reception staff refused. Hotel policy they said. What if there was a fire?

Had a very nice experience staying at Vivanta Guwahati…. Nice well maintained rooms, courteous and helpful staff and decent food. Service was very good and the staffs were really friendly and cooperative. Appreciate the hospitality.All the best !!

We had a very pleasant manager in Lakya Sarma. The suite was impeccable and spacious with lovely views. The dinner was beyond par with Assamese items in the mix. There was a curry leaf shorba I would love to have any day!. The breakfast was reasonably good. The staff attended to everyone with care and involvement and Biswajit at dinner was extra helpful. It was unfortunate we were just passing through and did not have time to enjoy the whole day. We hope to return sometime.

Conveniently located on the highway to the airport, Vivanta Guwahati was a pleasure to be away from home. Efficient, courteous, smiling and caring staff, starting from the reception to house-keeping, restaurant and security, made our stay a happy one. The view from our room included layers of hills and greenery on all sides with no hurry and bustle of the city, providing us a calm and relaxed atmosphere. The room was comfortable with all amenities and 'green' products of daily use. There was a lot of variety in the two internal restaurants. Restaurant Seven served a variety of North East, Continental, Chinese and Japanese cuisine. Restaurant Umami gave the experience of delectable South East Asian cuisine. The property has a well-maintained swimming pool, and a path to walk around alongside the trees and the greenery. We would always love to come back!

I travelled with my family (teens and spouse) from south India to Assam/Meghalaya on a 7N/8D trip. I had lots of apprehension when I planned this trip, but Tushar from Taj Vivanta, Guwahati has been extremely helpful in answering my questions and helping plan the whole itinerary. I travelled to GUA-＞Shillong-＞Dawki-＞Shillong-＞Cherrapunji-＞GAU-＞Kaziranga-＞GAU before I flew home. I had lots of anxiety considering this trip involved lots of travel, differing language/culture and food being all too different from where I am. But after having gone through the trip with my family, I am glad we enjoyed every single day and very thankful that none of us fell sick. Day travel was indeed long, we covered about 1000-1200 kms in this week, but there was sufficient rest and the stay was pleasant. Road work at Shillong was a dampener, but otherwise, it was a packed trip, every single day had some activity, with sufficient rest to get recharged and look forward to the next day. Food was awesome, people very friendly and the cab facility (Dinu) arranged by Taj for the trip, was a very helpful accommodating person throughout the trip. I cannot thank enough both Tushar (concierge, Taj vivanta) and Dinu (driver) always for making this trip very memorable and safe. My best regards to them.

Great experience! Staff if good and the location is great too in terms of Kamakhya Temple. Loson and Parthav of house keeping staff were professional and well behaved. Food was great with good in room dining experience. Overall enjoyable stay with Taj Vivanta Guwahati!

Excellent Property A vast Property , nature lovers will like this place . Big Swimming pool , Huge Restaurant alongside a Japanese one . Good Service and Prompt , well maintained property , value for money, will definitely recommend , and stay at this property if i get an opportunity to come to Guwahati . Big rooms as well , as opposed to other VIVANTA properties across the country . Shops Nearby , Located on the Main Road . Rating 4.5 out of 5 .

We arrived after dark at Vivanta Guwahati after a 7 hr train ride so we were tired - so was the hotel, tired. Before multiple weddings and parties, this hotel must have been beautiful, but now it badly needs a deep clean and renovation, furniture is scratched, grout and corners are dirty, hallway carpets stained. Our room has a suite, with 2 toilet facilities, walk in closet and lounge-space over looking the lively grounds and large swimming pool facility with loungers. The mattresses are as hard as wooden boards! It would rank it as just about clean - but not clean and sparkling. Nice bar area which turns into a dance club in Saturday nights. Expansive buffet breakfast - Assamese, Indian and International - but the masala chai was pretty awful ( I love masala chai) When this hotel was new, it must have been truly lovely! Would we stay there again? Yes probably - but would hope they undertake some renovations

The hotel staff was very nice and kind, especially I would like to mention the names of Triyash Roy and Abhinav Sinha. These two are very helpful and knowledgeable; they helped me with some queries. The overall experience was nice, and I would like to recommend this hotel to everyone who's going to stay in Guwahati.
