X Mountain Lodge Erciyes

I was with my wife and child on a winter holiday. First we were in Cappadocia, and then we continued the trip on Erciyes mountain. We needed something simple, not far away from the airport and the city. It’s only one and a half hour from Cappadocia (this is important if you plan to visit there). We liked the thing that in room is bunk bed, and we had beautiful mountain view. Thanks to the hotel staff, they organised us transfer to the city one day, and to the airport the last day, and price for that also was good!

The front of house staff are what makes this place really special- they are so incredibly helpful. The lodge is clean, rooms spacious and good facilites. The food was good- a huge buffet every day- 4 cooked dishes(mostly meat) but then a huge selection of fresh vegetables, dips and breads. Our group had 3 vegetarians in it and everyone was well catered for. The alcohol is extremely expensive(think European prices). The only down side of staying here is that the skiing is not really for beginners. There is a great nursery slope and instructors available(although their English is not great) but once you graduate from the nursery slope there is only intermediate slopes. We ended up taking a taxi to the other gates(500TL return trip) and there is great skiing there. Overall this gate is also quieter than the others which meant learning to ski was easier(we were often the only people on the slope). Overall I would highly recommend X mountain lodge especially as the staff were so great.

I was with my sister on a short holiday (3 days). We read the comments before we went there, and I can say that some of the things are not the true. When I counted how much money we spent on the hotel, I can say that we got more than we needed. For the price we paid, we had breakfast, lunch, dinner, in the day time they are giving cookies, all the time we could drink soft drinks, and prices for alcohol are so fine, if I compare with other places. For me is very important comfortable atmosphere. The covid rules are followed, we used masks and gloves while getting the food, and staff is controlling it. I wish them good season, and If we repeat skii holiday in Turkey, this hotel will be our choice again.
