The room was amazing, the views from the balcony on 14th floor just stunning. There's a kitchen in the room, only for display as you will get fined for using even the microwave 😂 We had to ask for clean towels and water one day, because it had been forgotten when the room was made up. The hotel is HUGE so getting to and from the pool or open restaurant is a big trip, there's no way the kids could go anywhere on their own in this massive complex. The kids club is just a room, no club as such. The games in the kids club room are incredibly expensive so we didn't use at all. The view from the third building restaurant is amazing if you get there early enough to get a window seat. The breakfast buffet is ok. When it gets busy though, the food keeps running out. There was one! Coffee pot for probably 400 people so you have to run back and forth across this massive restaurant to check if it's been refilled. We had buffet lunch once, which was very poor. For 1.7M VND you don't even get water to drink but have to buy separately and there are not many options for kids to eat. Again, the food ran out so you had to walk up and down several times to check if it's been replaced and dodge the crowds on the way. Not a very nice experience. The hotel cannot help with bookings or suggestions for excursions unless you book their tours, which are wildly overpriced and few to choose from. Hotel pools were amazing for our kids! The stay was nice overall but we wouldn't go back to this hotel.

What a fantastic find. Might be the best value hotel we have ever booked...and we travel a lot. Brilliant setting with two great uncrowded beaches. Three fantastic pools as well. Away from the chaos of the mega construction that is ruining the town proper but close enough to walk there for great seafood restaurants. We were upgraded for free to a one bedroom suite. Wonderul views. Breakfast was top class. The whole experience exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended.

Best location on Cat Ba island. Lots of entertainment in the hotel. Amazing territory and extremely beautiful sea view from the room. Delicious breakfast with lots of options and fruits.

This hotel is incredibly beautiful and well located. The beach, pool and views to the islands are stunning. The room was ok, big size. Breakfast was delicious, with lot of western options and Vietnamite options aswell to try the local food. The only problem for us is that we went on low season so most of the facilities were closed , only one restaurant was open so we didn't have to much options to choose, we didn't like that because we booked the hotel considering the variety of things that the hotel offer and they didn't told us that in advance. Other thing, is that the staff was so friendly and willing to help, but most of the people didn't speak English so was a little bit complicated to ask for things. But in summary, hotel is beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely hotel with great staff. Really enjoyed our stay here so we extended further. The ocean view rooms have amazing views and it was spotless. The beaches are nice as was the indoor pool. The Olsen was amazing we used it three times. Town is walking distance. Would definitely stay again

The location was nice and beautiful. I came here during an offseason but still got to enjoy good scenery and great seafood!

Unfortunately, our otherwise absolutely wonderful stay was ended with a bad case of food poisoning. The breakfast was always good, but on the last evening we ate in the first floor restaurant of tower 1, and my son had a horrible night after eating their crab meat spaghetti. Better eat outside! Otherwise, to be fair, it is a wonderful place.

The resort very beautiful and clean the boys in the reception very helpful i told them what i want to eat at the breakfast and they make for me very good dishes but also the girl in the reception not good and she yelling at staff when we told them that the trip make upgrade for our room to ocien view she didn't like that. Its great experience to stay at island.

Disappointing Stay Despite High Expectations I had high hopes for this hotel, but unfortunately, my experience fell short in several ways. Location & Accessibility: The hotel is situated on a hill, making it inconvenient to reach. Buses don’t go directly there, so guests must either take an electric car or walk uphill for about five minutes—not ideal with luggage. Service & Communication: The staff, including front desk employees, struggled with English, making communication difficult. Additionally, check-in is at 3 PM, but when we arrived at 2:30 PM after a long international trip, our room wasn’t ready. A little flexibility or a warmer welcome would have made a big difference. Cleanliness Issues: The swimming pool had leaves and debris floating in it, and the nearby beach was littered with trash washing in from the bay. While the hotel isn’t responsible for the bay’s pollution, more frequent cleanings (e.g., every two hours) would greatly improve the guest experience. Breakfast: The variety at breakfast was good, but the coffee was consistently cold—a disappointing detail for someone who values a hot cup in the morning. Overall, the stay didn’t meet my expectations, if I travel again to Cat Ba Island I will stay in a different hotel.

Very nice and clean hotel, great view. If I need to nitpick, it would be the shower needing more glass or a door so the water doesn't get sprayed out of the shower. could use some beach activities too.

Definitely not worth the money or experience. Upon checking in, the front desk clerk demanded additional payment for our 11 year old. When told that we had paid extra, he very angrily demanded I show him proof. I provided him with our booking information from Trip. He argued about our daughter’s age and even double checked her passport! Realizing he was wrong, his attitude changed but not once did he apologize. At the same time, another customer exploded on another desk clerk. The desk clerk argued back without hesitation. This was only the first of several confrontations between customers and staff we witnessed during our 3 night stay! The stress level felt at this place is concerning! The room itself was covered in dust. When we complained they did send the cleaning crew back up to spot clean. While the resort has impressive views, everything else was less than. I would not recommend staying here. As a world traveler, I would say that hands down this was my worst hotel experience to date!

Wonderful Hotel with Great Staff. 100% would recommend staying there.
