Kstdc Hotel Mayura Shantala Halebeedu

We stayed with the whole family at the end of December at the Hotel Mayura Shanthala in Halebedu (Karnataka), directly opposite the historic temple complex. The Mayura Shanthala is a traditional hotel run by the Karnataka Tourist Organisation, which unfortunately goes hand in hand with a certain lack of service. The location is great, the restaurant so-so if you don't have high expectations. The prices are moderate. But beware, even a phone call won't help with problems. We couldn't book our planned 3 days and had to spend a day in Hassan.

The hotel staff are terrible, non cooperative, when i reached night at the place, the staff were sleeping. I had to call them again and again. The room given to us was full of stains, dirty, cigarette smell. It seems some one used, partied before we reached. The staff did not provided water, towel, hand soap. When i asked him he was showing arrogant as though he is doing some favor. the manage never available. He was sleeping in his home and did not bother to pick my calls despite of calling him to inform the same. The ac in room was unserviceable, no fan. I could not sleep. Photo shows good room, but basically it's terrible, old stinky room.. One should not go to that hotel ever.
