Hallstatt Hideaway - Adults only

酒店其實是的精品民宿，設施和房間大小都是鎮裏較好的，推窗所見湖景很美，但酒店不在鎮上最中心的位置，在小半山腰上，好在整個鎮子不大，走到鎮中心或者鎮口最佳拍照打卡都就不到200米。

這酒店衹能説是個典型的民宿，這地方真是深山裡頭，開車到了p1停好再換接駁車，但這地方麻雀雖小五臟俱全，不要期待有啥服務，到了是位亞洲女孩接待，把該告訴你的設施設備告訴你一遍，也幫你拎些行李，這路上開車三個半小時到酒店夠累的，突然見到個亞州臉孔瞬間也感到親切，要主動問她暖爐咋開，否則晚上清早特別低温，哪怕是10月初的奧地利！

這是一棟有300年歷史的在山上的小樓，我們的房間是簡約現代風格，有獨立的進出小門，管家也非常熱心，露台很有特色，看着湖景享受早餐的體驗真是棒極了。

環境很棒，很舒服

We stayed 3 nights in the penthouse suite. To start - Hallstatt is very very cute and the views from this suite are gorgeous. The main floor of the suite (bathroom, kitchen, living room, and decks with hot tub) are very nice and the kitchen was perfect to cook anything you'd like to make (we made most of our meals when staying here ourselves). The bedroom for the penthouse is less ideal as it is up very small steep steps in an attic, and even for us in our mid 30s was difficult to get up/down (so if you have any mobility issues 1000% do not book this suite, get a suite on the 1st floor). If you run hot, I would also think twice about booking this suite in July/August as there is no air conditioning OR a good fan (my fault for not realizing no AC when I booked - and it seems this is true for all the accommodations in Hallstatt). The bedroom was very hot since it was an attic (thermometer read 26 degrees after having all windows and doors open all evening). I asked the person showing us the suite if there was a fan because of the heat, and she said no. For 530 euro a night I was pretty shocked when she said no fan, and she said a previous guest was also complaining about this so she needed to discuss with her boss. I asked if she could look into getting us one for the second night because I was worried we wouldn't sleep at all (again we had paid almost 1600 euro for these three nights...), and then we heard no update on this for the rest of the stay. I saw a weird looking dyson appliance in the living room and asked her if it was a fan and she said no its not a fan, its a light. Later on, I found the remote for this dyson thing and it turns out it WAS a fan lol. Although it was a very weak fan, but without this I don't think we would have slept. The other very disappointing thing was the last night when we had messaged our host at 4:45 pm and requested a 10 am shuttle pick up the next morning, and the host said sure. At 9:48 am we receive a message from her saying sorry the shuttle will come at 11 am. Like what???? 12 minutes before we are supposed to depart she tells us we have to wait an extra hour? We ended up walking ourselves back to the car with 2 backpacks and 2 pieces of large luggage each in the baking sun which took just over 15 min, and we were completely drenched in sweat for our road trip back to Vienna. TLDR: We were pretty appalled by the lack of communication and customer service level for the cost of this stay. Although the accommodation options in Hallstatt are quite limited, so I'm still not sure there are better overall options. I wouldn't recommend July/August (especially the penthouse suite) due to lack of sufficient fan for sleeping.

This was the worst experience after traveling for many years . The parking is 2 miles away, there is a general shuttle to take you to different hotels, where about 40 people were waiting to get in 8 person shuttle with their luggage. No organization everyone rushing to get on. After waiting two hours we were told to try and walk it, dragging our luggage no signs saying anywhere along the way where Hallstatt Hideaway was. Wasted 4 hours in the process we met owner and asked for help with luggage up this long hill and steps . She said no one could help , we expressed our upset about the inconvenience and what could be done it is now 7:30 not even in a room, haven't eaten dinner. She told us not her fault so many tourists want to come and she can't find workers to work. She refused to refund us we wanted to leave she said go, I got paid, I'm not refunding you. She verbally was rude, uncooperative to even help us to maybe check out a little later the next day. She said it was our fault for coming there with rest of tourists. She was nasty, got in our face yelling and told us too bad and walked away. We paid 532.00 for one night claims the place is on the water, it is not ,it has water view. No lobby, no manager, no receptionist DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY STAY AT THE HERITAGE INSTEAD, on the water, nice restaurant in property, lovely staff. This woman, the owner should not be in hospitality business!!! AND IT IS NOT LUXURY AT ALL.

The most amazing room in this characterful building with incredible views of the lake/ mountains and the picture perfect village. Stayed in the Holz room , extremely comfortable with a beautiful bathroom and well equipped kitchen . Staff were lovely and helpful . Would definitely recommend and would stay here again .

BE AWARE 😲 - the house is built in 1740 up on the hills! You need to walk uphill & steps with your luggage's to get to your hotel & your room. I wish in 1740th they were more considerate to build wide road for cars 😄 We went to Hallstatt Hideaway after attending a wedding in Salzburg, so our luggage's were bigger than if we had gone on a hiking trip. The village has strict rules and doesn’t allow cars / taxis. We were dropped 0.6 miles away in a parking lot - basically where most of the tourists were advised to disembark. Under normal circumstances 0.6 miles is a piece of cake, with a few pieces of luggage's then it's a Long March! You need to walk up the hills and go up steps... :-( Luckily my husband is a Cross fitter and we made it. We reserved the Royal Suit WALD. Once we entered the room, most of our frustration dissipated - the view from the four windows is breathtaking and just take your stress away... Now we are less upset about climbing all these steps! The living/bedroom is spacious, simply furnished but very functional. The bathroom is furnished with great working shower and a Dyson hairdryer. The view from the four windows just takes your stress away... Sandra is a wonderful host and so lovely! Although there is no front desk to speak of, we texted Sandra when we had questions or needed anything. She always got back to us right away. We enjoyed staying four nights in the Hideaway and explored the village. Thankfully at the end of night the bed was very comfortable, and we had good night’s sleep. The Hideaway is truly a beautiful hotel to stay. The staffs keep the place very clean. The only recommendation we have is that the hotel offers a service to help guests with their luggage's when get to / depart from the hotel.

Due to a family emergency we needed to move our trip, I spoke with the folks Hallstat Hideaway (Silke) and explained the situation, that not only were we unable to come to Hallstat, but we had to cancel our entire trip from Ireland to Vienna. I did not expect a refund obviously, but asked if we could do another date and we would pay any price difference. I was told in about 2 lines that no sorry we are not giving you a refund and we don't have to give you another date. I will obviously not be spending a further another 400+ euro at this place again, and I'll tell as many folks as possible not to visit also. Folks here do not care. Had the person who responded had even pretended to care, I might not be as disappointed.
