Stannade här på alla hjärtans dag och hade en riktigt trevlig vistelse. Våra privata rum hade en riktigt fin utsikt över järnvägsspåren där du kunde titta ut och njuta av tågen som går förbi. Enda klagomålet är att det blir ganska högt tidigt på morgonen. Rummet var rent och hade allt vi behövde. Skulle rekommendera detta vandrarhem/hotell till alla som besöker Hamburg. Platsen i synnerhet är fantastisk, vi var högst 25 minuter från någon av Hamburgs främsta sevärdheter. Kommer definitivt att bo A&O igen i framtiden.

Lite annorlunda än vad jag förväntade mig, genomsnittlig plats, inte illa

Jag bodde i ett enkelrum på a&o Hamburg Hauptbanhof i tre nätter, och jag gillade det överlag. Vandrarhemmet ligger cirka 8 minuters promenad från centralstationen och precis framför en busstation. Sammantaget är det bekvämt.

The service and location was good. Overall it was good for a few nights. The walls are quite thin so you can easily hear other rooms.

2 elevators work well. Sorry for my mistake in previous review I thought 1 didn’t work. I pressed the wrong button. 1 brings you down the breakfast area and the working space which look very bright, colorful and energetic. 1 brings you down near the Reception area. They sell coffee in the Lobby too. The housekeeping staff never cared if I put up the Do Not Disturb sign. He just opened the room without knocking. Another male staff the next day also knocked my door when I put up that sign again. They want to empty the trash daily. I used my nail and could take out the black mold in the shower room wall. They should brush the walls and brush the area around the drainage in basin. You can use the microwave, electric kettle and pan to cook your foods in the Guest Kitchen. Saw the laundry room but don’t know if that is free. Can walk for 2 km to visit the famous Elbphilharmonie. Get a free ticket at the entrance, go up the long escalator and view the city.

In general, I can say it is a good hostel. I just didn't like that there were no lockers in the rooms. I didn't choose the breakfast because it was a bit expensive.

There must of been a field trip or sporting competition in town because there were no less than 200 teenagers in this hostel! Haha, the room was fine, the bed was hard, the shower was hot, and the view (5th floor) was the other bunk bed rooms and some kind of meeting point for the pigeons. My window also faced the courtyard so it was loud outside my window well into the evening. All in all, it was a room that served its purpose, a place to lay my head.

This hotel is actually quite good. Located near the city centre which you have to take the bus for 2 stops if you do not want to walk. But the distance is walkable! Around 15 minutes which is acceptable. The hotel room we booked is a private room which is very clean and bright, overall we had a nice stay there. However, to be honest, it is a bit expensive. But overall okayyyy.
