Hammamet Garden Resort and Spa

Everything was fine. If there would be someone to clean the camel and the horse **** from the beach would be perfect.

The only redeeming feature of this hotel is the staff they go out of their way to help you and make you comfortable. That is what the star is for. Other than that I have nothing positive to say about this hotel. I booked it through Love Holiday and it was advertised as a 4 star hotel. This is not the case. I would say it's barely a 2 star. The hotel is very dated, barely lit. Everything about it is dark and dingy. Our room overlooked the main reception area, which was very noisy. The room we were given was one which had not been updated, and bared no resemblance to the one advertised on Love Holidays. Yhe tpilet wpuldnt flush properly. The beds were rock hard, bedding stained, furnishing very dated. There was one single electrical socket in the room. The all inclusive drinks were very limited. The pools weren't clean and the water slides were out of use, which was probably a good things as the looked like they should have been condemned. WiFi would not work in the rooms, we had to go into reception or sit in the corridor outside our room to get a signal. The gaming area and pool table had all seen much better days. The deciding factor in my decision to leave after 1 night was down to inappropriate comments made towards my by an inebriated guest who thought it was okay to be suggestive in front of my two children. As a single parent traveling with my sons for the first time I felt Vulnerable When raised with love Holidays I was advised to raise it with redeption and provide a description. I did and was told that there were a lot of handball teams in due to a tournament and they would be gone in a couple of days then I wouldn't need to worry. I was not prepared to do that, so found alternative accommodation at Sentido Phenicia Hotel and checked out within 12 hours of checking in. I have supplied some photos but honestly, they don't look as bad as it actually was.

I feel it’s my duty to warn anyone considering Hammamet Gardens – AKA HAMMA'MERDE' GARDENS do not book this hotel and definitely avoid booking through Loveholidays. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this hotel does not deserve its advertised rating. The rooms were dirty, dated, and poorly maintained – mold on the walls, rust in the bathrooms, broken fixtures, and air conditioning that either didn’t work or barely cooled the room. Towels were stained, and housekeeping was inconsistent at best. The food situation was appalling. The so-called “all-inclusive” buffet was repetitive, bland, and often inedible. Plates and cutlery were dirty, food was undercooked or left sitting out for hours, and hygiene standards were nowhere near acceptable. Drinks were warm with no ice available, and the queues were endless. Forget about ordering a cocktail before 6.30pm! The pool and shared facilities were no better. The water was murky and dirty, loungers were broken or reserved with no system in place, and pool towels were either not available or only handed out after repeated requests. We witnessed both poo and wee in the pool and only after screaming at the General Manager, he then cleared all yhe people out the pool. Entertainment was poor, noisy, and felt more like an afterthought than something for guests to enjoy. The staff and management team were equally disappointing. Most were uninterested, unhelpful, and unmotivated. Any complaints were brushed aside. The GM team showed no accountability, and it was made very clear that guest satisfaction is not a priority here. To make matters worse, Loveholidays completely washed their hands of responsibility. Once you’ve paid, you’re on your own. They act only as a middleman, and when problems arise, they do not care and will not step in to help. This was not just a bad holiday – it was a stressful, frustrating, and upsetting experience. We moved rooms 4 times due to maintenance and cleanliness issues! What was supposed to be a relaxing break turned into a battle to get even the most basic standards of cleanliness, service, and respect. 🚨 Final Warning: Do not book Hammamet Gardens. It is not a 4-star resort by any stretch of the imagination. Do not book with Loveholidays. They take your money but won’t support you when things go wrong. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, choose another hotel and book with a more reliable provider. I would never return here and would never recommend it to anyone. What was supposed to be a relaxing holiday turned into a nightmare. Dirty rooms, unsafe pools, false advertising, appalling food, and staff who clearly don’t care. This hotel is not even close to a 4-star standard – in reality, it would struggle to qualify for a 1 star!
