We had last visited Les Orangers several times with the last time in 2018. I unfortunately have to agree with the negative reviews about the drop in food standards and cleanliness in public areas, such as the bars. The waiting staff and bar staff are still exceptional and a credit to the hotel. The beach attendants are quite rude if they are not tipped straight away. The food has gone extremely downhill since last time. I witnessed lots of cross contamination of vegetarian, meat and fish by staff using the same utensils. It also wasn't helped with other holiday makers going along the serving platters with the same utensils, obviously this is hard for the hotel to control, maybe keep each food group together might help? The main dishes were labelled but the salad bar was guess work. The dessert choices were much diminished, mainly consisting of layered sponge in various colours. Every now again a MilleFille would appear. Their was a lot less fruit choices, Dates appeared once in the whole week... the same with the cheese choices, much less than last time. Our main annoyance was the noise at night, it didn't seem to matter what the show was, it was mainly someone shouting loudly, then at 11pm until 2am the nightclub opened!! I don't know if we were very unlucky with our room, but it was impossible to sleep until 2am. If you are in the block with the numbers 20 and below, take very strong earplugs. We were told that the gym and pool didn't open until 10am, when we checked at 8.30am, it was open with people already in. Same every day, not sure why the 10am time was given out. The machines in the gym need replacing, only 1 treadmill works and the elliptical is falling apart. Overall we were disappointed with our return.
