We had an incredible stay at this hotel, which boasts a prime location with stunning views of West Lake. The grounds are beautiful, expansive, and meticulously maintained, offering a peaceful atmosphere that made our stay even more enjoyable. The food was excellent, and the staff’s hospitality made us feel truly welcomed. One of the highlights was the travel photography service offered by the hotel. The photographers captured beautiful moments that became some of our favorite memories of the trip. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to relax in style while enjoying top-notch service and unforgettable views.

The State Guesthouse nestles on the western shore of West Lake, with the verdant Dingjia Mountain as its backdrop. The courtyard is a masterpiece of design, with intricately crafted buildings, elegant pavilions, and serene waterside pavilions woven into a tapestry of bamboo groves. During our three-day, two-night stay, we were treated to the tranquil beauty of morning at Su Causeway The experience filled our hearts with profound happiness and serenity.

Excellent service, buffet, interior design and great view of West Lake.

It's the most beautiful resort we've stayed in...service and facilities was impeccable. Don't let the word "guesthouse" misrepresent the quality of this place...it's definitely a 5 star resort. We stayed in Buliding 2 which has the most luxurious furnishing and amenities and I highly recommend getting the afternoon tea option. The only regret is that we couldn't use the pool because we had to wear swim caps and we didn't want to pay $10 USD to buy one. So my advice for the North American/European travellers and it is not a review about this particular hotel but as a general info is that you should bring your own swim cap when travelling anywhere in China. It's mandatory to go into the pool. We'll definitely be coming back to this place in the future.

Excellent stay! The stay far surpassed expectation. Friendly staff, breathtaking scenery. Was offered an upgrade to Building 1 and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND it. Level one room opens up to a balcony overlooking Westlake and Leifeng Pagoda in the distant. Booking comes with free afternoon tea (daily) and breakfast.

Very nice accommodation at west lake. Totally worth the price. Will definitely stay here if I come here again.

Resort feel, lovely grounds, and room amenities are good. Furniture is a bit dated. It's still a great place to unwind. English speaking is limited, and if u do not have a car, it is best to just have all meals at the resort.
