Whispering Sands Motel

在這個地方能訂到的唯一的motel，設施比較老舊了，空調聲音太響了

Ok we planed a stay there, but must cancel it. After we send a mail, it takes 1 hour that we got a confirmation about the cancelilation. And after that one day the booked my money back on my CC So I dont stay there, but would next time when I‘m in the area

The room looked clean and comfortable when I walked in and I felt safe as a solo. But, my rating comes from the fact that I found a huge wad of hair on the drain when I started the shower and the used filter from the previous tenant was still in the coffee maker. Also, the air conditioner was so incredibly loud and when it did shut off, I could clearly hear the resident above me utilizing the toilet and other plumbing. You are limited with lodging options in this area, so I suggest at least requesting a room on the second level.

Basic accommodations, but very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. We stayed here because it was right on our route, and we didn't really know what to expect.We were very pleasantly surprised at the level of service, comfort, and amenities. , We would definitely stay again!

Whispering Sands is a wonderful recently remodeled motel. Clean rooms. Comfortable beds; high water pressure in shower; quiet air conditioner. Can pull your vehicle right up to the room door. Large off road vehicle park in the middle of its massive parking lot And thereby do not effect the regular vehicle parking by the motel rooms doors. Ice machine is under the stairs in the middle of the motel. Half of motel is two floors. We booked the single level area, since we do not do stairs. Hanksville, is a very, very small town. And this is our second time there. To revisit Goblin State Park 40 minutes away. And go off road to see the Mars Research facility just outside of town. First thing we did when we got to town is to buy a T-shirt "Where The Hell Is Hanksville". Two T-shirt shops (one in a cave by the gas station) and the other by the second gas station. Yes Hanksville has two gas stations. And one great restaurant two blocks from the motel. Ducks Slickrock Grill. "Duke" owns the RV park/the restaurant/the hamburger place and the gas station next to it... He has put a lot of money into this town to make it as great as it is. And he employs good people to run it.

This was the cutest motel. It was clean, comfortable beds, with a fridge, microwave, and TV. This is a small local owned motel and they have done a very good job at maintaining and providing a nice place to stay. If you are expecting a stay compared to a Hyatt then you need to keep driving to the nearest big city!!!! They provided special little touches like extra dark washcloths for removing makeup, and hand cream. The rooms are not large but very comfortable for a couple of nights stay. The front desk staff were polite and helpful. I have this on my list for the next time we come through the area to stay.

We had 2 rooms for 3 nights during a family spring break trip. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Staff was nice, especially the cleaning staff. Great “classic motel” vibe with nice rooms. We are planning to return to the area in the future, and would definitely stay at the Whispering Sands again.

When I checked in I asked for a room on the bottom and was told "No, you have to go to the room you were assigned." The smoke alarm went off and wouldn't stop. Asked for help and they came and removed the battery and did not replace it. The room was freezing so I turned up the heat only to find out the heat didn't work and was blowing cold air in from outside. I went and talked to the manager and they gave me a space heater. The space heater didn't heat very well. The lights flickered and then went out. I again went to the manager and asked them to flip the circuit breaker. I asked for a refund and the manager refused. Horrible service. the manager was very ornery about everything.

A solid motel. Options are extremely limited in this area. Clean room. Friendly staff. Has refrigerator & microwave. Convenient location to nearby scenic viewpoints. My room didn't have a "traditional" shower head so it was a single stream of water.
