Maya Boutique Hotel & Spa recensioner

The room and location was central to old quarter sights and food including the night market. Breakfast was good and has the basics for a complete meal.  The only major problem we had was the water issue where there was a problem with water supply the first night we stayed there where there was no water supply around 10pm due to some water pump issue and could not shower or even use the toilet until close to 1pm. There were no alternative solutions provided to us and it was quite stressful. The water problem occurred the morning we checked out after two nights stay as the water pump was not full and had to shower with dripping water instead of proper full jet or water. Plus no hot water and had to wait for 1 hour for decent water supply. Once is bad enough but to have it occurred twice is not acceptable as would expect any decent hotel to have basic water supply.  Would not recommend this hotel on this basis alone. The staff at the counter was extremely helpful to provide advice and suggestions and really very friendly and that is a great plus plus point.

Whilst staying at the Maya , the staff was very friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean and just how it said it was when booking . I will definitely be staying here again ☺️

I would like to recommend my friend and my family if they go to Vietnam to stay here because the best service form the staff by hospitality and the room so clean and beautiful style felt warm like I stay at home ❤️❤️❤️

Small, damp room with no window, no place to hang clothes, and very inconvenient to get around. I even saw a centipede — never coming back!

The hotel was great for a few nights, but you certainly can get other hotels in the area for similar money.

Really wonderful and comfy hotel. The service is fantastic and everyone who works there is great. The location was very central (note noise may be an issue, but I found it acceptable). Only issue was that my hair dryer had some sort of electrical short and started sparking. Potentially a tad dangerous but will chalk it up to random error. Really cute and European style place.

Great location if you want to be near the drinking spots and beer street, rooms are reasonably sized and the bathroom is huge

The room was smaller than expected but still managed. For some reason, the water pressure drops  at night and the hot water gets really hot.  We got the highest floor which is on the 8th floor. The reception is on the 2nd floor. You will have to carry your luggage up to the 8th floor.  The hotel is right in the heartbeat of Old Quarter. Lots of eateries, restaurants and massage parlours. 450k for an hour massage is on the high side. You can get a Vietnamese Massage for 250k for an hour as you walk away from the hotel. Be adventurous and try the road stalls. They are the best, cheap and amazing taste. Please try their egg coffee. I must warn that they are absolutely addictive.  Hotel staff are phenomenally and wonderfully helpful. Look for Ms. Vy who is just so informative and thorough. This hotel is so convenient that it is just walking distance to all the tourist attractions. No need for any form of transportation unless you wanna try their trishaw rides. It should not cost you more than 50k a person if you’re just heading to specific locations.

It’s a very narrow 3 star hotel. Its highest floor is 8. The lobby is at ground 2nd floor and the lift to the room starts from 3rd floor. However the staff is very helpful and proactive when it comes to carrying your luggage up and down the stairs.

Location is prime. Staff are super friendly & attentive. Beds are comfortable, bathroom is alright. Tv and safe didn’t work.

Super location and very comfortable hotel. David and his female colleague (sorry I forgot her name) were absolutely terrific from start to finish. Amazing value for money at this hotel!

The room and hotel does not like at all as on the booking page :( Room was cleaned, but sheets, towels were so old. It needs immediate renovation. It was extremalnie load, couldn’t sleep. Location on the street. Staff was very nice and friendly. Doing their best. It’s like 2 European Star hotel.

This is not 4stars or 3stars hotel. And this is the worst hotel in my life. After we checked in 15 mins we realize that the A/C in our room isn’t that cool. We were waiting till 30 mins and getting sweat. I walked down to talk with the reception guy Mr.Hung and he said that other guests complained about this too but because of this is summer in Vietnam so it’s very hot. He asked us to move to another room on 9th floor with stair after 7th floor. That’s what we paid for but we tried and the A/C isn’t better. So we said no to that room and Mr.said he will bring us a fan so it will better. I felt like what? Why we have to sleep in the room with extra fan just because your A/C doesn’t work very well and this isn’t what we paid for. We tried to asked him to cancel hotel for us so we can look for another nicer hotel with good A/C but he said no he won’t refund for us as we already checked in for 2.30hrs! But hey I was talking with him downstair the whole time after 30 mins. But he said I already sleep there and he won’t refund for the first night. Also he said “you hot, because you feeling hot”. I told him what are you talking about? And he said “no no, I don’t talk with you” Oh My God!! What in the world is this? Mr. ****, you are not fit for this position. No service mind at all. **If you are a manager who seep this review please know that this is real experience I got from Mr.Hung and he is not fit at your hotel, zero service mind, not willing to help. The sitiation can be better if he willing to help and understanding person. But he just make it worst and we have to contact Trip.com to cancel the last 3 nights. Thank you to Trip.com staffs and supervisor that tried to help us for 4hrs, we are appreciate it. But again Mr.Hung, you are worst at what you doing!

Nice place to stay.. receptionists were very helpful .. Will prefer again to stay for next holidays
