definitely smaller than expected but did the job, we also had breakfast booked and it turned out they no longer have breakfast to have… and we were not told. we did get money back but it was a lot more to go out and buy breakfast, a cost we didn’t expect - could be better organised to let customers know.

Did the job for a three night stay but the rooms are a lot smaller than they look online. Bed was comfortable but barely any room to get out of bed at the side. We booked with breakfast included however when we arrived, we were told that this wasn’t offered anymore - we received a small refund for this but we weren’t informed of this before our arrival. Otherwise, it’s very central and not far from anything in the city.

I had a great stay in a six bed dormitory, which was clean, comfortable and private with curtains around my bed. The balcony onto the street was a delightful place to watch the world go by. Considering it is on a busy road in the old quarter, it was remarkably quiet at bedtime. The location is perfect for exploring the capital on foot, being surrounded by bars and restaurants and a short walk from Hoan Kiem Lake, Hoa Lo Prison, the puppet theatres, 'Beer Street' and other tourist sights. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Linda runs this place like a true professional! She arranged my ride from the airport, gave me recommendations of things to do, and made sure I was very comfortable in my stay. Room 505 is a great room with a balcony and the price was so reasonable. I will stay here again.

Very good welcome and magnificent treatment from the first moment. Polite, attentive and hospitable staff. They kept our suitcases for us throughout the day. The rooms were great and clean. The breakfast was also very good and complete. If we return to Hanoi, we will definitely repeat the hotel. thank you.

Hanoi House is a massive scam. This is by far the worst hostel I have stayed at. Upon arriving to the hostel I realised that they had a bunch of awards from years past (2013,2014) which makes me think that this place might have been past its glory days. The rooms were extremely old and untaken care of. I had a single private room which not only had a broken window, but also had a leaking AC unit. Checkout was also a nightmare. At 6am, the person in the counter was sleeping on an air mattress right in the lobby, then his computer and card machine wouldn’t turn on. Once he got it to work, the card machine didn’t accept my card. As a final resort he led me to an ATM outside the hostel. This is by far the worst, and most professional experience I’ve had in the hotel industry. If you come across this joke of a hostel please steer clear.

Do not book their tour packages! Big bait and switch!!! They gave us a quote for two tours of Mai Chau and Ninh Binh and our experiences was AWFULL!!! Our lodging looked nothing like the brochures, and the activities were not what was printed on the brochures. And, they hugely overcharged us, far different from their original hand-written quote. Beware how they switch from USD to VND. They said they would refund but never did! We're disputing through our bank. They promised my 82-years-old mother she would receive activities when we would do bicycling and Mountain climbing but never gave her any alternatives, she ended waiting on the bus. We wanted to cancel but they would not allow us--and we did not want to be stuck with no transports 4 hours in the middle of nowhere from Hanoi. They canceled some key visits on the itineraries and did not replace them, just shortened the entire program as well as changing our visit dates. We texted/called but no answer. And when we were back in Hanoi, we went to the office twice and it was closed, even though they said they would be open and told us we would get some refunds. Not reputable!!!

Another fabulous stay with HHH&T, my go to place to stay whenever in Hanoi. A winning combination of welcoming, pleasant, very helpful professional management, front desk staff, breakfast & housekeeping teams - comfortable quiet, sparkling clean rooms, spacious bathroom, reliable hot water, all very well maintained - very good value amenities & services AC, mini-fridge, satellite/cable tv, wifi, elevator - freshly prepared delicious breakfast choices - knowledgeable staff recommendations for guests to best enjoy charming Hanoi, tour/travel bookings & airport transport available - superb, convenient Old Quarter location all contribute to enjoyment of a fab stay. Easily the best choice for any traveler!
