Ballantynes Lodge

I can’t speak more highly of Ballantyne’s Lodge. It was my first visit to Zimbabwe and stayed at the Lodge for 8 nights whilst on a business trip The whole team are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble for them. From the moment you arrive, to the time you leave you are looked after and made to feel very comfortable . I loved the concept of the Lodge and it has such a relaxing vibe . The breakfast is freshly cooked to order and the evening meals delicious Thanks very much for looking after me and please can I have the same room when I return later in the year 😁

I am a traveler who traveled and is traveling across our planet, Balentine Lodge is one of the best places I ever stayed. The setup, the location, the atmosphere, and foremost the staff and the owner Shirely. I stayed there for over two and a half weeks and the reply to all my requests was always yes and it included a smile. It was a home away from home in the true sense of it. To top it all is the food the two chefs are fantastic and the food is fresh and tasty either for breakfast or for dinner. There is only one place to stay in Harare and it's Balentine Lodge. Thank you Shirelly and the staff, I miss you all already!

Ballantynes Lodge was my cozy home for three lovely weeks while I was in Harare for business. From the moment I checked in to the bittersweet day I checked out, my experience was nothing short of delightful. Shirley and the incredible team are the kind of warm and friendly folks you wish lived next door. Seriously, they’re so accommodating and charming, I half-expected them to offer me a cup of tea as I walked in! The service? Top-notch. The food? Exquisite! (I think I might need a gym membership just to recover from my culinary escapades—hahaha!) And the accommodation? Absolute perfection. Honestly, my time at Ballantynes was probably the best experience I’ve had in ages. The team made my three weeks away from home feel comfortable and worthwhile. I have used this fantastic lodge many times over the past 12 months for business visits. From day one I have been treated like a returning family member from all the staff. The rooms are all unique and very comfortable. The food is of a good standard and they always pull out all the stops to cater for my particular needs. If I ever visit Harare for pleasure I would most definitely stay there. Thank you Stephanie and all your wonderful staff.

What a beautiful place to stay! It felt like home as soon as we were greeted by Zoe and Sky at the front desk. The interiors are stunning, with little touches and artwork everywhere you look. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The shower pressure was perfect after a long road trip. The staff were all helpful, polite and friendly. Breakfast was delicious, (thank you to Carrie and Francis and the kitchen staff) We ate in a dining room with the doors open to the pool deck and well-maintained garden beyond, and gentle spa-like music in the air - it felt like we were a million miles away from everywhere. The beauty of it was that we were central to everything we needed. My husband wanted to take a trip down memory lane, so we hired a car onsite and they offered their driver, Blessing, to help navigate the Zim roads. He was friendly and informative and definitely a good call vs driving ourselves. They also provided transfers to and from the airport. Shirley runs a fantastic establishment; obviously a labour of love, I highly recommend it!

A wonderful stay, in a lovely urban lodge, in a calm oasis. Room was beautifully set out. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly, courteous and professional. Highly recommended as a place to stay in Harare.
