Clifford Gardens Motor Inn

Due to the housing crisis a lot of hotels are doubling as emergency accommodation. The owner of this establishment (white Aussie guy) treats the "paying guests" and emergency accommodation people very differently. He is very aggressive, hot headed and doesn't understand respecting a woman's personal space. He leaned over me and I felt his breath on my ear and his body heat on my back 🤢. I said "you're standing way too close" he remained there so I quickly got up and moved; as did he. The next day he sent his henchmen in to inspect my room and surprise surprise it wasn't "clean enough" and I had to leave. The owner of this establishment lords his power over people going through the worst time of their lives and treats us like absolute garbage. Don't get me started on how he treats his poor staff (I think they believe the abuse is normal now- very sad indeed). FYI I'm an established business woman and although it isn't a multi billion dollar company for most of my life I've earned my money, payed my bills and more importantly- PAYED MY TAXES. I'm entitled to get help when necessary and the government are putting hotel owners in charge of people like we are their property. Disgusting system and its being run by right winged nuts that think they're judge, jury and executioner of who "deserves help" and who doesn't. Yuck. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Room was comfortable. Very friendly staff. The bed was very comfortable. There were biscuits supplied. Unfortunately there was no milk in the fridge ,and the doonas were very filthy under the sheets(yellow with multiple stains). Would definitely stay again though.

We did not have a very good experience. We had people very loud and drunk. We had vomit marks on the floor. The microwave is broken. Paint is peeling on the inside and dirty walls. Dirty Carpet and dirty marks on doors and walls and the heater broken and smelt disgusting. Fridge was rusted out in some paper like stuff frozen in the freezer bit. And under the sink, there is old water rotted away And to top it off there is mould all over the bathroom roof.

Spacious room furnished with a microwave, kettle and fridge with crockery and cutlery, which was very handy. Air con worked well as the nights were chilly but the bedding was warm and the room clean - only a bit of mould behind the shower door. WiFi was dismal as I think they were piggybacking off the nearby shopping centre WiFi, but that would be the only drawback. Will certainly consider returning.

We have just stayed at Clifford Gardens Motel for 4 nights for a hockey carnival. When checking in the fellow on reception just asked for money and gave me a key. No confirming my booking with me, no directions for parking, no information whatsoever. The least communication I've ever had checking in anywhere. I had to ask for the invoice. There was no information in the room either, no milk and the bathroom was quite mouldy. Our toilet would not flush at first and the man on reception was helpful though this shouldn't have even been an issue. After a few days we realised the "service" was only the bin being emptied. I had to ask for fresh towels, toilet paper and tea bags. Milk was in reception, I don't understand why you would not provide in room or at least ask on check in. I also had to ask about laundry facilities and on our last night discovered there is Wifi though we haven't been given a password. 2 nights we returned to our parking space taken so I assume they do not explain to any of the guests where to park. Overall it was a room which was all we needed but definitely could no with some improvements especially in regards to customer service.

Great place to stay in a convenient location, straight across the road from Clifford Gardens Shopping Centre. We stayed in one of the 3 bedroom apartments, just an overnight stay. The unit was clean and tidy, and well set out. The price was great too, split between 5 of us. Could have stayed much longer if our travel plans had allowed for it. The only thing we would have liked the unit to have had is a rail in the shower, as we had our elderly Mum with us, and the shower floor was a bit slippery.
