Summerfields House

I was very pleased with my stay at Summerfields. Fiona and Ian were very helpful and friendly hosts. My room (Roses) was lovely. It was great to have a fan and mini-fridge available during the hot weather. Although the en suite is small, the shower is excellent - very powerful! The breakfast was very nice and they accommodated my request for an earlier breakfast each day, without any issue. The house is in a secure area, with parking available. The bed was comfortable and there was a lovely view over the rear garden. The location is fine for going into Hastings, although it's about a 15-minute uphill walk from the centre of town to get back! There are buses, however, so this isn't a major issue. It is also very close to the Summerfields Leisure Centre. I would have no hesitation in recommending Summerfields, nor staying there again.

Our first time visiting Hastings and Summerfields House was the perfect location for our stay. The hosts Fiona and Ian made us feel so welcome. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a lovely garden view and a glimpse of the sea. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. It’s easy to walk to the town or seaside ~ albeit a bit of a hike back up the hill. We would certainly return if and when we are back in the area. Highly recommend this delightful B&B.

My wife and I have stayed in many Guesthouses/Hotels, But I have to say we have never been made to feel so welcome and special as we did at Summerfields House. We stayed for three in a very spacious room overlooking the gardens. The room was clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly on a room! The booking included breakfast in the light airy dining room overlooking the gardens. The full English breakfast was the best we have ever experienced, quality food and cooked to perfection...such a real treat ! Our hosts were very helpful and attentive, just lovely people who could not do enough for us. Our car was parked up inside security gates safe & sound but we had access to come and go as we pleased. Summerfields House is situated close to All attractions and seafront, it was a wonderful experience and such good value for money, we can't wait to revisit !

We booked 2 nights at Summerfields House B & B because the Hotels we looked at were far too expensive and were offering very little for the money . Summerfields reviews were excellent and the cost was very reasonable. We arrived just after 3 pm (Check in time) and were greeted by our Hosts Fiona and Ian . Fiona showed us to our room which overlooked the rear garden and the surrounding Woods . The Property is set on a Private Road and has secure gates with Pin Pad access . They have plenty of room for Parking and a Bus stop at the end of the Lane . It is a 7 minute walk to the Sea Front . You would not know you were in the centre of Hastings as it is so quiet . Our Room was perfect , will all amenities one would need . A very comfortable Bed , a good size TV , not that we watched much . The Private Bathroom was just across the Hallway .( Other Rooms are Ensuite ) Very large Bathroom and very well laid out and Beautifully decorated with quality soaps & Shampoos etc . Breakfast was included and was served in the Conservatory and was cooked to order Beautifully . This B & B is ideal for a quiet relaxing Getaway . Could not Fault it . On their Website we noticed they say they are visited by Foxes and other Wildlife . On returning to the property after a Day exploring Hastings we were greeted by a Large Fox relaxing beside the Driveway . I was able to take a couple of Photos of it and it only moved after we had opened the Gates and began to Drive into the Driveway . It was terrific to see this. We highly recommend Summerfields House .

I visited back in summer of 2013 when I was a young child with my family! We had an amazing time and all still think back fondly upon our stay. Not only were the hosts very attentive, but the home was also beautifully kept and in a great location. The breakfast was a perfect way to experience the British culture, and meet other guests - the conversations we had were so delightful. As kids we also loved the grass field around it and playing with the dog !! (Casper? If I remember correctly...) Overall, this place felt very homey and I can recommend it to everyone. Hope to return one day. Thank you for the amazing memories back to your time in England.

A lovely B&B set back from the A21 with wonderful views of the countryside. The room was tastefully decorated and had everything you could need: comfy bed, tea/coffee making facilities, tv, hairdryer, soap & shampoo in the ensuite. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and kept us going way past lunchtime! The property is situated midway between St Leonards and the centre of Hastings - good walks to be had, but be aware it is hilly. A lovely relaxing stay - Ian and Fiona are excellent hosts - will definitely return.
