Camellia Hills

A stunning location in a quite beautiful country. The level of service received is of the highest quality and the food is a joy. The rooms are simple, clean, comfortable and functional. No television is a plus as the view from your window is the best thing you will see. The staff are all warm, friendly and attentive . The gardens superbly kept - a gem.

What a magnificent place! My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights, en route from Kandy, as we headed south. We took the train through the tea country and although the drive from Hatton station is quite tricky and takes a while, it is more than worth it. This modern take on a tea planter's bungalow is wonderful. The views across the "golden valley'" and the lake are sublime , our room was light, spacious and very comfortable and the dining and lounge areas lovely, There are only 5 rooms, so it is almost like having your own place. The staff were extremely attentive and hospitable, the breakfast world-class , as was dinner, which offered a mouth watering array of dishes, with local and international choices. Some fantastic walks available through the tea fields and guided excursion to the local tea factory offered. This was definitely one of those places which we agreed we would love to go back to. We could not recommend this hotel too highly

Well done to the team at Camilla Hills. Azhar and the staff were amazing, helpful and nothing was too difficult. Kids, parents, family all enjoyed the Sri Lankan hospitality. The bunglow has a modern yet rustic charm, that ensures you unwind, relax and are rejuvenated. The food was delightful. Sri Lankan milk rice or the planters breakfast were a hit. Perfect place to spend with family ahead of Christmas. Carols and the warm fireplace added a nice touch. Thanks to the entire team. Will be back again soon.

The manager is hopeless. The food is barely average, and the service is the same. Either you will have one dish in one plate without salt and the next time there would be too much. Don't stay more than 2 nights as you will get fed up with the food. The view however is excellent on a good day!

You will not regret visiting this hidden gem of a hotel! What an unbelievable place, you feel as though you are staying at someone's home. The building is absolutely beautiful, but the views across Castlereigh Resevoir are simply breathtaking. We sat on the terrace each night playing cards, drinking a G&T and listening to the birds and sounds of the hills. So special. Thank you for making our time so memorable!

Had a great time here. We went for our honeymoon - the views were beautiful, the food was fantastic and the service was exceptional. We enjoyed meeting with Azhar and the rest of the team. We appreciated the tea factory tour, the canoe ride, and the waterfall lunch arranged by the hotel. Will definitely recommend to friends and family!
