Dated hotel, in need of refurbishment works, I do not consider it a 4 star hotel, given the state and services, it is a 3 star. The breakfast is poor, few options and the pastries and bread very dry. Juices are not natural and there is no orange juice, just as coffee is not espresso. Dated rooms, although our family member was in the room next to ours and was slightly more modern. Bathroom looks so old and dirty. Do not drink tap water, the hotel (4 stars!!) only gives 1 bottle of water on the first day, the following ones have to be paid... I found it bizarre, even more so that we are in a country that should not drink tap water. Super dirty elevators, corridors with sloppiness in maintenance. Electricity outlets in the rooms are not westernized, they are all 110 V, if you don't bring an adapter it is not possible to charge anything. Friendly reception staff and helped in arranging a transformer so we could have our appliances charged. From the doorman to the breakfast room staff there will be a lot of approach to exchange money, it bothers to have this conversation constantly. Many restaurants accept dollars and euros, but it's good to have a few pesos for some need, because not everyone exchanges at the best rate. The Hotel has a Coffee Shop Restaurant outside, we had lunch there on January 5th and I paid in pesos, at night the first question of the waiter was not what I wanted to eat, but if I had a card to pay the bill... I told him that I had pesos and in extreme arrogance he told me that it was not possible to pay in cash, not even after saying that at lunch he had made payment that way... Imagine how they treat the tourists! Of course, the employees' business is to make low exchange rates and earn from these transactions. This shows well the schemes inside the hotels, in the morning it's one thing and at night another... and no one from the Hotel Management wants to know that this happens! The internet in the hotel is slow or almost nil, I advise you to buy a local card with 10G in Havana and it costs €25. We bought it in an official store, you need a passport and debit or credit card. In short, this hotel does not leave any nostalgia and I will not return for sure!!
