We had a 2 night stay with the host Donna ,who could not do enough to make our stay wonderful. The breakfast was superb and enough to set us up for the day with lots of choices. Donna advised where the best tourist attractions were and other ,not to miss places to see. The hotel was very comfy with all the amenities required. We will definitely be back for another helping.

We came to hawick my mum wanted a trip down lane she was brought up in hawick chose this place as was central to everything, the room was very spacious and beautifully decorated, the dining room also decorated lovely, the cooked breakfast in the morning was lovely can't fault it, the host Donna was brilliant very friendly, would definitely recommend to anyone to stay here, can't fault anything it was perfect

We just completed the Borders Abbeys Way walk, and The Bank Guest House is a gem. Donna, who owns and runs it, is a dynamo, and very interesting to talk to. The place has been restored and decorated by her, and it has such personality! Our room was great, and the breakfast, prepared by Donna, was excellent. If you are planning to stay in Hawick, you should definitely book a room here.

I’ve stayed here quite a few times over the past few years, and I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. Donna is an exceptional host and does a fantastic breakfast. Great location in the centre of town, with parking at the rear. Will certainly be back. Thoroughly recommend. Thank you Donna for another lovely stay at the Bank. x

The owner, Donna, was away but check-in worked fine. Colors were good. Our room #4 was a little weird: room was small and very tight with the furniture, bathroom was big but oversized; narrow closet was largely un-usable, weird staircase upon entry. Kids rooms were good. Entrance was hard to find. I think the bathroom amenities were branded “ebony” but I can’t recall for sure; however I do recall that the hand soap dispenser near the sink did not work properly David was helping out while Donna was gone and he was quite helpful.

This is the worst experience with a bed and breakfast I have ever had. Paid in April 23 and when I arrived there was no room available. The owner was rude and aggressive and no help in finding alternative accommodation.

We couldn't not praise this boutique hotel highly enough. The host, Donna, was welcoming, attentive, knowledgeable and vibrant. Particular highlights were the decor, juke box in the dining room and the breakfast. We would highly recommend and would definitely consider a return visit.

Please do not go. All in a mess. Hopefully will get back to the good place it used to be. I do not wish to give lots of negative details as this used to be a nice place. Coldstream is a beautiful place whose character has not been destroyed by tourism.
