Clean but staff charge more than just a room

這家酒店離機場有點距離，在一個市政廳的邊上，旁邊有很多流浪漢啊，感覺治安不是太好，但是酒店設備很棒，服務也很好，早餐在美國同類的酒店裡麪算是豐富的。

Awful experience at this hotel after a 2-night stay. Everything about this place is designed to cut costs. Should have read the other reviews first about daily room service and the breakfast. Breakfast - served no protein options, just carbs like pre-packaged waffles, dry bagels, and cereal. Juices are horribly watered down. Front doors are locked during breakfast hours, assuming to keep the locals out? Room and Cleanliness - carpet is covered in dirt, everytime we stepped on the carpet and then into the shower, the water turned black from the dirt. Makes sense since they don't service the room every day. Linens are of the lowest quality, they're basically a step above paper towels. The shower amenities were empty when we arrived and there was a bar of used soap a the sink. We made a request for extra linens since our room wasn't serviced and even though they wrote it down on the log at the front desk, we never received the towels. It's like the just don't care. There are plenty of other great options in Hawthorne. Recommend avoiding!

**We did not actually stayed at the hotel. I booked our family trip to Los Angeles and decided to stay at Towneplace Suite Hawthorne LAX. I called their toll free number and made a booking to reflect CAD prices since we reside in Canada. The representative was nice and confirmed that the prices he gave us for the 2 rooms were in CAD and I had to get him to confirm a few more times to make sure and he said the same thing. Closer to the trip, we were checking our bookings and discovered that the booking was in USD! I called again and gave them our itinerary numbers and they were able to find our booking. I explained the situation to them that upon booking the rooms, I confirmed SEVERAL times that the prices should be in CAD. I spoke with Tony who introduced himself as a supervisor and his lack of empathy and careless attitude to resolve the situation is unbelievable. He did not apologize for the confusion and inconvenience. He acknowledged the conversation we had with the previous representative BUT said that because the hotel was situated in the US, the currency SHOULD be in USD. I told him that is inaccurate as with previous travels especially when booking online or by phone, the prices are reflected in the currency of the customer's residence which in this case is CANADA. The worst part of the conversation with Tony is when he said that there's not much he can do except to escalate the situation and someone else will look into the situation OR I should just cancel my reservations if I don't agree with the pricing. VERY RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE! The hotel and their staff might be nice but the first point of contact for making reservations failed to provide good customer service.

Would recommend if you need a night or two near the airport. Very clean, friendly staff and available parking. Also felt reasonably safe even at night. Can’t comment on the breakfast as we had a very early flight, but the eating areas seem to be very roomy.

It’s a shame to see what has happened to a relatively new hotel. It’s clear this place is dealing with poor management and it’s directly impacting the guest experience. First, the hotel is now offering housekeeping only by request, but when I checked in that was never mentioned nor was I asked if wanted housekeeping. After my third night I called to inquire and I was told that I had “not opted into housekeeping.” I asked that they please have my room serviced and they assured me they would. Nope…housekeeping never came for the rest of the stay. Upon checking in I was shocked to see a tear in the carpet and a tear and large stains on the couch. Again it’s poor management to leave such clearly damaged property in the room. It’s indicative of how the property is being run. Another example…In the hallway there are these thin ***** lights next to each room. Half of them are hanging at an angle because the bases aren’t properly attached to the wall. It’s a little thing but just shows how little concern management has for the condition of the building. There are a ton of hotels in the LAX area; I strongly suggest staying someplace else.

This hotel was the worst hotel I've stayed out of the marriott hotels that I've been. The first problem i had was the room was not ready until around 7pm and I did the mobile check in way ahead of check in time. It is the first time that I've experience waiting that late for the room to be ready. I booked a 2 queen bed room with sofa bed. It was spacious and nice but the sofa bed and washroom floor was dirty. It was fine since the rest were clean. Breakfast was below average. The eggs were ok but the potatoes looked burnt and reheated. We just ordered outside most of the time for breakfast. Other than that, everything else was ok. So overall, it was an ok stay but I wouldn't recommend this place to my family and friends. I'd like to thank the front desk staff and housekeeping tho since they were very nice and accommodating.
