We stayed in the Radcliffe room.It was comfortable and clean although the bathroom was very small.The staff went above and beyond though and nothing was a bother.The cooked breakfast was nice and the bar is nice and clean.Would give it a go if your looking for somewhere to stay in the area.

A basic but very cosy pub in a great location for visiting various parts of Hadrians Wall. The breakfast is included and was excellent. The only drawback is the quite small size of the rooms. The view of the town from the nearby bridge is lovely.

Sweet quiet little pub with rooms above. The room was small, clean and comfortable. There was free wifi and the location is in the center of a village so there are a few good restaurants nearby. Or you can get a burger and chips in the pub. The Full English Breakfast was excellent. The parking is on the street but we never had to walk too far. We picked it because it is so close to Hadrian's Wall. There are also a couple of wash and folds nearby. Drop them off and pick them up after a tour of the wall.

Staff very friendly, good selection of drinks, indoor or outdoor seating, had a couple of drinks ordered takeaway food, food was excellent pizza and thick cut chips, pints were excellent, very well priced, plenty of people in pub due to races being on, will return

We had a really lovely evening, night and morning at The Railway Hotel. The room was super comfortable and charming and, despite being over a busy pub, we slept undisturbed and very well. Breakfast the next morning was delicious, and it was no trouble not only to give us a lift up to the start of our walk on the wall, but also to arrange a lift for our bags all the way to our destination. Worth staying in Haydon Bridge for!

Delightful hotel, very friendly and welcoming staff. Breakfast was great, cooked just right. Room a little on the small side but not a massive issue, we enjoyed our 3 night stay. First day went to Oddfellows coffee over the bridge and had a very tasty bacon and cranberry toastie which was delicious. Bar at the Railway always seemed bustling in the early evenings (always a good sign!), and had a great atmosphere for a sit and a drink. Wish we had a great bar like that near where we live! Everyone in Hayden Bridge was very friendly. We’ve had a lovely short holiday.

We were looking for a place to stay near to Vindolanda Roman site. The Railway Hotel in Hayden Bridge filled our requirements perfectly. From the first moment we spoke on the telephone, the warm welcome when we arrived, the excellent and well appointed rooms and the wonderful breakfast. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful, we can’t recommend highly enough. Dinner was great too. We loved the South African food. Five stars. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Booked a deluxe room with river view for two nights, to find main road and roundabout outside the room. Yes there was a bridge and river beyond. Not quiet. No air con or fan on one of the hottest days of the year. No food. Parking on street. Room was dated and bathroom small. For the price I expected better. The room was not serviced for the second day and had to ask for more milk and tea. Previous reviews painted a much different picture

A good pub B&B. A nice sized room, the corner room with double aspect windows, a small ensuite shower room but did the job. TV, team and coffee, good WiFi. Breakfast was a freshly cooked tasty full English, tea or coffee and fruit juice. Cereal if also required, a good start to the day. Dinner selection varied from the usual pub favourites around £17.95 to more special choices £23.95 and up. The food was good quality but being served in the bar, noisy at times, it’s more a pub food than dining experience. Overall well recommend.
