White Moose Lodge

Very clean, comfortable. Everything available for a good stay. Good fans, good heat. Beds fresh, comfy. Mini frig, microwave, coffee pot. (Coffee furnished.) Price was very reasonable. I was impressed by how everything was well maintained. Extremely clean! Exactly as described in listing. Good location.

First of all this is not a lodge. It has 16 rooms all in a row. Motel 6 would be a 10 star in comparison. Desperately in need of repair. Entry door you can see daylight letting mosquitoes and other bugs in. This is a motel that will not refresh your room if you stay more than one night.

This was the second stop of 7 days on land post cruising. We had read from the reviews that it was simple and clean. That is spot on. There are no real frills about this place, but it was PERFECT for our 2 night stay in the Denali area. Situated about 10-15 minutes from the entrance to the National Park, White Moose Lodge was a fine stay. We took advantage of the grill and cooked out one night, followed the manager's suggestion to hit the grocery store nearby and $25 of groceries worked well in our favor (nearby establishments are $20/burger). The owner told us there had been a cow moose and two calves around, but we didn't see them, unfortunately. If you're looking for frills, look elsewhere. We knew what we were getting and were not disappointed. We felt safe in the area and appreciated an old-time hospitality.

The wifi worked, unlike in most other places in Denali... The beds were comfy, the roof gets noisy when there is a downpour of rain :) We were here only for two nights, but it is a good spot, near the Brewery and only a short drive from the Denali park entrance.

We had a great stay in a motel that offered ever thing we needed. Clean, comfortable, great service. Closer to Denali and across from 49th Brewing and a gas station. Perfect spot when visiting Denali. Would definitely return to this place again.

This is a great low cost option for seeing Denali. The rooms are impeccably clean. The bedding and flooring all looks new. The room is small for a family of 4, but the beds are comfortable and they put in shelving units that made it easy to keep all our food and gear arranged neatly. Wifi is good. We were als9 able to save money by grilling both nights. Grill was clean and tools were provided. We also microwaved our breakfasts, which was a good savings. And the trip to Denali was quick.
