We stayed here for a couple of days (4-6 Nov) and my experience was very good. We were surprised to find a personal note and a chocolate to welcome us to the Hotel and Helsinki. The room was nice and cozy with all basic amenities. The location itself is very good, near city center and close to bus/tram stops hence convenient. The staff was very helpful and guided me appropriately. Breakfast spread was excellent and food was yummy. Overall, our stay here was very very comfortable and i will highly recommended this hotel for a budget stay. Thank you team Original Sokos Albert Hotel. Cheers!! Rajesh Altekar

Staff is nice, but in no way is this a 4 star hotel. This is really at best a 2 star budget hotel. Quite shabby, rooms look like school dormitory rooms and the location is not really close to anything. If I had booked a 2 star sure, this would fit the bill...but not as a 4 star

Well run hotel only a few minutes from the city center. Tram stop is 1 block away, and then just a few minutes to the main attractions. Reception desk is professionally staffed and very helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Buffet breakfast was excellent.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Original Sokos Hotel Albert! It has a unique, home-like atmosphere with a large sitting room and bar by the reception desk. The room was spacious and well-equipped, and we appreciated the hotel's focus on being eco-friendly. The breakfast included a wide range of options, including a delicious Finnish porridge. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of parks, restaurants, grocery stories, public transport, and Market Square. The hotel also has a sauna available downstairs for customers to use. All of these things made the Original Sokos Hotel Albert a great place to stay, but our visit was made especially memorable by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. In particular, Sonja provided information on activities we might enjoy, nearby restaurants, special Finnish treats, and other fascinating aspects of life in Helsinki. Sonja really enhanced our short stay in Finland, and we truly appreciated her attentive and professional service.

This Hotel never disappoints. Good location for walking around Helsinki. Clean basic rooms. Not much noice. Nice flexible service. Good breakfast with home made porridge. Sauna possibility. Near many of coffeehouses, restaurants and bistros. Also near the sea and several museums. Very nice for older people.

A very good mid level hotel in the center of the city. It’s a bit of a walk into the main shopping area but there is plenty of restaurants close by. There is a bar and a nice sitting area. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom is well appointed and clean. The bed was comfortable but the pillows weren’t great. Unfortunately the curtains didn’t cover the windows very well so there is light spill into the room from the street lights. The staff, in particular Marianna, were brilliant. Friendly, helpful and accommodating. Marianna was able to suggest and book restaurants for us. The breakfast is great with a good variety of fruit, cereals, pastries and hot food. Coffee not so good unfortunately.

Breakfast good, position good but for sleeping I would not recommend for someone who is disturbed by light and noise. Some noise from the street and also from the corridor. But worst were the blackout curtains. Dirty and too small, there was light coming from the sides, between and bottom so could not sleep after sunrise.

We spent two nights here on our trip to Finland and it was very nice. The rooms are well appointed and the beds are comfortable. The hotel is close to the city centre so everything is in easy walking distance but it's far enough to be calm and on a quiet street. The only downside to staying here is that the bathrooms are a bit in need of an update and the showers are quite small. The breakfast was excellent, we had two vegans and one vegetarian in our group and there was a vegan version of everything available, they even cooked us vegan meatballs and vegan blueberry muffins! The staff were friendly and helpful and the place had a nice atmosphere.

This hotel is in a good district of Helsinki, within walking distance to many attractions and with good public transit links. The rooms are spacious and come with a safe, kettle with tea and coffee, and an iron. The toiletries are of a very good brand and generously supplied. The breakfast is great -- have the traditional karelian pie with some egg butter, or some scrambled eggs with meatballs, traditional porridge, or some of a wide array of fresh fruit, veggies, and yogurts. The bar area is cozy and serves until late. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The windows seem like they cannot be opened, but you can open them if you ask for a key from reception. A great base to explore Helsinki.

Me hospedé en el Original Sokos Hotel Albert por una noche durante mi paso por Helsinki. El hotel está en una zona tranquila y bien conectada. El hotel en general tiene un estándar más cercano a un tres estrellas, con instalaciones simples y decoración algo anticuada. Sin embargo, la habitación fue cómoda y silenciosa, ideal para descansar bien tras un día de viaje. El hotel tiene servicio de Sauna, que no utilicé. Destaco la amabilidad y atención del personal, que fue genuinamente servicial y cordial en todo momento. El desayuno no fue tan amplio como en otros hoteles del viaje, pero todo lo que ofrecían era fresco y con productos locales, lo cual se agradece.

Accueil très aimable, bonne literie et chambre spacieuse. Hotel un peu vieillot mais confortable. Petit déjeuner correct. Pas de bruit, bien situé par rapport au centre ville. . ....................................................
