Scandic Helsinki Hub recensioner

I booked a king-size bed room for three nights. The photos on the website showed a spacious room with a large front-facing window and a park view. However, when I checked in at the front desk, both my friend and I were given extremely poor rooms. As Asians, we felt we were being discriminated against. Guests checking in after us were given much better park-view rooms. The room I was given was extremely small — the smallest on the entire floor — with only one tiny window and an awkward slanted beam taking up space. The hotel staff claimed that ‘every room has a different layout’ and told us they were fully booked so no room changes were possible. But during our three-night stay, we passed by many rooms and none had such a bad layout. Also, I had booked a king-size bed, but they initially gave me a queen-size bed. Only after I complained did they say I could upgrade — but only if I paid extra. This is unacceptable and felt like clear racial discrimination. Fortunately, the booking platform later helped coordinate and arranged a partial refund for me.

Great location and lovely hotel. Standard rooms had limited amenities, did not have a kettle but overall the hotel was good. Had a sauna and well equipped gym

Gym, sauna, location, design. You have it all. Will definitely stay here again!

Great value for money, room large enough for one person to stay. The shower booth is spacious and not cramped. Loved the variety of breakfast! Plenty of seating so it was comfortable.

The room is very clean. Anyway, it would be better if they got provide the slippers and tooth brush.

Centrally located, perfect to visit Helsinki. Huge breakfast buffet (even gluten free and vegan options). Unfortunately only one type of coffee ☕. Coffee urgently needs an update. The parking just below the hotel doesn't belong to the hotel but is expensive 45.- Euro per night.

There are smell in bathroom no kettle and no change towel

We had a lovely stay: the Scandic Hub has a great location to explore Helsinki and there was a good amount of choices on where to eat in the surroundings. The rooms were clean and comfy beds after a day of sightseeing. We would gladky come back again next time!

Walking distance from the Helsinki Central Station, but if you are coming with a big luggage, it is advisable to take the Tram No. 3 or 6 from Rautatieasema Tram Station and get down at Fredriksgatan, walk 3 mins to the hotel. The hotel is clean, decent room space and I enjoy my breakfast. Walking distance to nearby shopping malls and convenient store. Highly recommended!

The location is wonderful. Very close to the city centre. The staff are polite and friendly. They help us get the utensils. The room is clean and tidy. There’s a sauna that must try in the stay. 

Hotel is located a bit far from Helsinki central station, around 10 min walk, but is near to shopping area. Room size is appropriate for 2 people, love the shower area as it has a door to close so there won’t be any water splashing out.

Strategically located and within walking distance to Helsinki Central Station for 30 minutes ride to Helsinki Vantaa Airport. Walking to Old Market Hall, Senate Square, Helsinki Catheral and Uspenskin Katedraali. Late checkout until 4pm possible by paying 20 Euro extension fees. Highly recommended to stay for easy access to town area, shopping, grocery, restaurants and supermarkets. Daily Western breakfast buffet provided is adequate.

Pros - Perfect location, just a stone’s throwaway to the subway - Super new, comfy and spacious room for two - Bathroom was all impeccable with a super strong shower head (major plus points!!) - Strong air-conditioning / heater - Pretty good breakfast spread Cons - Cast to tv feature didn’t work :( - Recep’s service can be better - No kettle in room (available for rent at €5 / day zzz) *pro-tip: get free hot water from the coffee vending machine near the recep*
