Hotel Karmel

Certainly not worth 4stars. Far from. Why ? The floor was full of stains, the pillows were so used that they were very flat (for two people only 3 available), constant smell of the toilet in the room. The hangers for your clothes are fixed and very high, so when you are short you cannot use them. Same for the towels in the bathroom, stored too high. I had asked for a room with view of the garden. I can understand that those rooms are taken, but is it too much to ask to let the customer know ? Disappointed again. Also a shame there is no one at the reception. Perhaps we are old school, but it it is always nicer. Another disappointment with the breakfast. Nothing like the pictures you see on the website. On the hot side you have to lift every lid to see what is underneath. We were early because of an appointment yet the quantities were very small. In the breakfast room everything was clean in comparison with the room. We visit hotels quite often and we will never again visit the Karmel.un

Nice location, near to all restaurants. Room is spacious and clean. Only thing is the pillows in the room are too small and not comfy, there is no available disposable slipper so you feel cold by walking in the room. Relaxing experience. Overall it is good hotel. Special mention to Frank at the reception, he is a nice guy.

Very nice room and excelent restaurant. I think I'll chose the same hotel when I'm back again for business. The only advise is, if needed, to book a taxi the day before, otherwise it could be difficult to leave the hotel and arrive on time where you must go.
