Ibis Budget Caen Hérouville

Perfect place to stay for the night after disembarking the ferry. Early breakfast time so can make early start to rest of journey. Breakfast very good for the price, Clean and comfortable room. Will stay again and recommend to friends/family

Now let’s be honest, this is a budget hotel with 2 stars, so there are things that you won’t get here that you will with a 3 or 4 star, such as tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms, a smaller shower cubicle, a restaurant. However, as a hotel that provides, exceedingly clean rooms, and bathrooms, has a very decent breakfast room with a very acceptable petit dejeuner, lovely coffee and the most friendly and helpful staff such as Cedric on the reception. This really is a top rated lovely little hotel. It’s in a convenient area for restaurants and shops, and the centre, it has excellent parking which is very safe and a very nice outside seating area, where we had a bottle of champagne and soaked up the sun. Whilst the hotel does not have a restaurant, it is able to provide pizzas and which we partook of when we couldn’t be bothered to walk up to the restaurants. Cedric provided this, which was probably microwaved, but it was hot and crispy (no soggy bottoms here) and delicious. He also, upon noticing we had brought a bottle of wine, provided, without being asked, 2 wine glasses. The free Wi-Fi, in this hotel is the best we have experienced in any hotel, no glitches. Only a 10 mile drive from Ouistreham for the ferry back to Portsmouth, absolutely ideal location for doing a bit of sightseeing before going home. We were here for 2 nights and will be booking this hotel again for our next trip to France.

Hemos pasado en este hotel una noche. Limpio, habitación amplia, baño pequeño pero suficiente para ducha y aseo. No hay ascensor, por lo que es un poco incómodo para subir y bajar las maletas. No hicimos uso del desayuno, pero vimos que era bastante completo y que tenía muy buena pinta. Económico, buena relación calidad/precio

Très agréable séjour de 3 nuits en famille. Hôtel silencieux (très appréciable quand on a un sommeil léger). Lit confortable. Équipe très sympathique. Merci à Cedric pour sa bonne humeur. Je recommande cette établissement.

Hôtel au confort simple et rationnel, calme, correct pour passer une nuit dans un contexte professionnel. Chambre propre et literie de qualité. Bon rapport qualité/prix pour le petit déjeuner. Accueil aimable et professionnel. Voiture visible de la fenêtre de la chambre.

L'accueil est simple, sympathique et les équipes sont serviables et aimables (il m'ont gentiment dépannée de dentifrice). La literie est très confortable et c'est super important. Pas de nuisance sonore. Le ménage est bien fait, la chambre est propre. La déco des chambres est agréable. Le petit-déjeuner est pas mal. Détail appréciable : à dispo dans la chambre une multi prise avec 2 ports USB. Mais... Une vague et discrète odeur étrange à la réception (moisi ? égoûts ?) Chambre très exigüe (moins d'1 mètre entre le bout du lit et le mur) Pas de bouilloire dans la chambre ni même en libre service dans les communs Lumière un peu blafarde dans la salle de petit dej, déco désuète dans cette salle. Chauffage un peu limite (certes température autour de zéro dehors) et surtout couloirs et ascenseur absolument glacials. Accessoirement j'aurais bien voulu pouvoir imprimer un document pour le boulot, je n'ai pas pu, a priori même en payant ce 'est pas possible. On va dire que l'essentiel est là mais qu'il y a quelques détails à peaufiner, et que l'hôtel semble un peu daté...
