Stella Village Seaside Hotel

We came to Stella Village for 7 nights in April. They gave us balloons and some complementary drinks and food on arrival as it was a special occasion. Which was a really nice touch. The staff we found were fantastic and were very helpful for the most part. The complex was clean and the housekeeping kept the room clean and tidy. The room layout was good, the room was modern, clean and tidy with comfy enough beds. The balcony’s didn’t have a divider, so no privacy to the room next door. I emailed prior to our arrival asking for a smoke free room, we were assured all rooms were smoke free, however people were smoking on their balcony’s frequently, this and the lack of privacy, rendered the balcony completely useless to us. The indoor bar by the children’s pool also had people smoking inside it, even with the sides shut and a single door open. We had a slight problem with our A/C on the second night and someone came around to unlock the controller within a hour. We had a very mixed bag with the weather which was brilliant for half the holiday and overcast for the other half. Even with the weather we managed to go in the pools everyday, we were the only ones in the pools frequently as they were very freezing cold no matter the weather. Heated pools would definitely enhance the experience. The drinks from the bars were fine and the waiter service and drinks to your tables in the restaurants were very good The food is poor, definitely the worst part of the hotel. Not much choice at all. We had raw chicken 2 days in a row. We complained on the first night it happened, clearly nothing was done, as the night after the same happened again. They tried to tell us pink and clearly undercooked chicken wasn’t a problem due to the type of chicken it was. Even tried to ChatGPT the picture and the problem in Greek but they weren’t having it, reception even rang when we were back in our room to tell us that it was cooked properly. To be fair they asked if we would like anything else cooking, but we were disheartened by the food by this point. There are cats roaming around the whole complex, however they were also in outdoor restaurant looking for you to feed them, we didn’t mind seeing them around, however, cats in a restaurant isn’t great. The drains around the complex smell every now and again, can be walking round and get a foul smell from somewhere. The rooms are very noisy. We had group next to us and they were running around and banging until midnight, to be fair, the reception when we complained told us to call reception if we wanted security to come up and ask them to quieten down. We didn’t complain until about 4/5 nights in, when we had enough of not sleeping properly. We then had to take up their offer and security were quick to sort it out. They then put security outside the problem room for the remaining nights due to the noise and issues. They also offered us to move rooms, however we didn’t want to upheaval this late into the holi

Excellent place for families and kids from 4 and older.the Stella waterland is such a great place for kids and grown ups!Food is good,bedroom and bed very comfortable!Also there a great kids club which is very clean and tidy!Hotel is very clean and the biggest up of the hotel is the wonderful staff!Always with a smile in the face makes you feel happy to be on vacation!thank you for everything and see you soon

Brilliant staff (especially at the pool bar!!) nice food and drinks all round. Plenty of things for the kids to do, would definitely come back.

Great room, lovely shower. Air conditioning definitiely got some use. All staff very friendly, very impressed. Staff made me feel welcome and kept engaging with me whilst I waited for my friends at the bar. Will definitely come back. Shout out to Mauricio, absolute legend. All bar staff very professional, constantly on the go. Impressive to watch.

I’ll start with the good. All staff were great very friendly, bar staff were great, very fast service. We had a flight delay outbound so we missed dinner but the staff were thoughtful enough to leave some sandwiches, pasta, salads in our fridge in our room for when we arrived which was a nice touch. Food was good, nice tasting, hot and always well stocked. Never seen an empty tray at the buffet stations. Breakfast and evening meals were probably the best for variety. The snack bar was great up the waterpark too. If you’re a picky eater then you may find it slightly repetitive at the restaurants. Never had to run and find sun loungers wherever we decided to go always plenty available by the pool and up the waterpark. The waterpark is great for kids and adults. Cleanliness wasn’t an issue, the maids were around everyday cleaning the rooms and to a good standard, the grounds are very clean, well maintained, pool areas always clean. Now for the not so good. The cot we were given for the baby was ripped at the bottom and the frame was sticking through. We did get it changed although the maid said with the mattress over the rip it’s ok but I still requested it to be changed which wasn’t an issue. The room was small for a family of 4.If we return then we’d have to book an upgraded room for the extra space. With the luggage to it was tight for space. On our last day there was a party at the waterpark( supposedly the owner or mangers daughters birthday party) the owner/manager instructed the life guards to close up all the sun umbrellas due to in his words the wind. There was a slight breeze but not enough to blow umbrellas over. The life guard was apologetic and said the decision was crazy as it’s not that windy. This unfortunately drove people away from the waterpark and it was about 28 degrees and for family’s with small children we had no choice as we needed shade for the baby. The baby was sleeping in the shade when this decision was made. I gathered this was a ploy to drive people away so the birthday party had the park to themselves which kind of worked because around half the people left. But the umbrellas by the pool were ok to stay up. Overall I’d stay here again if there was a good deal when booking or I’d pay the extra to stay at the palace. Quick tips - we found the Mediterra restaurant better than the main. Get up around 8am and get a cabana by the pools great for shade for the kids There’s also a great restaurant 10 minute walk away from the hotel. Turn right as you come out of the hotel and just walk straight. The restaurant is called Areya. Great food, Good music and musician. The shop in the hotel is good. Got most things you may need stocked there. If not there’s supermarkets either side of the hotel and the supermarket next to areya restaurant is good.
