Absolutely hated leaving. Friendly reception from all of the staff and nothing a problem to them. Great food, lovely, attentive staff - special mention to Linda, Lukas, Pappie and Jes! There is such variety in the food and lots of it - absolutely loved trying the local dishes. Caters for all tastes. Meat, fish and loads of fruit and veg dishes. Loads of cakes/pastries too for those with a sweet tooth. Guys at the bar are fantastic. No queues. Shop staff are lovely - as are the housekeeping staff. Rooms are lovely, comfortable and spotless. Pools and pool areas are really well equipped (towel hut opens 10am - 12.30pm then again later in the day but be quick as the towels run out) and plenty of spaces to choose from. Water was too cold for me but some kids were in and out playing. Weather was half and half. 4 days gorgeous 18-20 degrees but 1 really wet day and 1 really cloudy. One day was going to be changeable across the island so we hired a car next door for 55 euros and went to Matala - 90 minutes drive (SE) and caught the sunshine and had a lovely drive through the mountains. Seen some complaints that there's not much around the resort - if you have young kids and you're happy to spend time by the pool, waterpark, playpark, playing pool or air hockey, eating and drinking three times a day and drinking at the poolside etc etc - no need to leave the resort really. You can definitely walk a mile along the coast westward and see all the other hotels. The beach is right across the road - be CAREFUL on the pier! Loads of sunbeds there too. I was surprised at the number of cats around the resort - a bit like Cyprus. And no tea/coffee making facilities in the room which is unusual for us but you won't need it after you see the choice of drinks (soft, tea/coffees/choc, alcohol, non-alcohol) in the restaurants and bar areas. Absolutely recommend 100%. Would love to go back again soon. Thank you Stella Village.
