Senseana Sea Side Resort & Aquadventure

I booked a room through a site called Stay for Long (linked through trip advisor) for 14-24 July 2025 but have had no communication from hotel to confirm the booking, despite emailing the hotel numerous times and also messaging on Instagram. Since booking I have read reviews warning against booking with Stay For Long due to people arriving at the hotel and there being no record of booking. As such I am concerned I have been scammed. I would be grateful if Senseana could respond to my emails to confirm whether or not my booking has been received so I can contact my bank to stop further payments being taken by Stay For Long if necessary. Thank you

I would give 3 and a half stars I think. This is not a 5 star hotel, make no mistake! I think a lot of the 5 star reviews here are from people getting free room upgrades. I wasn’t one of these people and I think we were possibly given a downgrade. It’s very luck of the draw. Kids club is a tick box, they just sit and colour, you’ll struggle to get your kids in there. ‘Family’ rooms are exactly the same size as UK premier inn rooms, cramped with no storage. Reception staff are downright rude. I would suggest avoiding this place if you have kids. The food is great and the location also great. We loved the water slides. But this was an overpriced holiday, you can get an awful lot more for your money.

I have just returned from a 7 night stay with my husband and 5 year old daughter and overall we had a fab time. Room - We had a double room and paid extra for a sea view which in hindsight I probably wouldn’t have bothered with. The room was fairly small but was fine for only the 3 of us. Was clean and well maintained. The shower was really good! The bed was comfy and we all slept really well. Pool - Lovely looking pool but was freezing cold. My daughter loves swimming but couldn’t last more than 5 minutes before going blue. I think I would avoid coming here unless in the height of summer because of this. Water park - Really well equipped water park with lots of sun beds and a snack bar. Again the water was very cold. My only gripe was that the music played around the splash park was very loud so not very relaxing. Food - We found the food really nice and varied. Lots of options for my daughter who isn’t the most adventurous. Also the ice cream was delicious! Beach - We only went to the beach once. It was covered in palm leaves and seaweed so wasn’t the nicest. There is a nicer beach if you walk down to the right. Mini club - Once we had persuaded our daughter to give this a go we couldn’t get her out of it! She loved the two ladies running it - Uliana and Kinga. They were really sweet with her and she was really sad to leave them. They do a mini disco which again my daughter loved. Entertainment- Compared to other hotels we have stayed at, there was minimal entertainment so if this is something you really like then I would probably go somewhere else. Overall we really enjoyed our holiday and had a nice relaxing time. There were lots of sun beds available and the whole hotel is kept spotless. All the staff were lovely and the bar staff remembered what we liked. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend if you are looking for somewhere to relax but maybe go in the summer when the pool is a bit warmer.

Beautiful property and very well maintained, food was tasty and fresh, room amazing. All the staff are friendly which makes the stay much more pleasant. Special thanks to Kostas for his warm welcome and daily help. I also want to thank Georgia for the good room maintenance services. The weather was gorgeous. I enjoyed every day spent at the resort, I will definitely come back.💙

Reading some of the reviews it's clear some have "must find fault" on their holiday itinerary, if you're not one of these people and you want a quality laid back holiday then I would 100% put Senseana on your shortlist. Amazing accommodation (Petit Suite with Pool Access), very attentive, polite & friendly hospitality (Special mention to Yannis, thanks for the Greek history lesson and the "Sam" cocktail! and to the lady at breakfast & dinner who made us feel so welcome, sorry I didn't get her name but we would have dinner on the terrace as she was always at her station by the door ready to look after us with a beer & sweet rosè wine and chat about our day. Please pass on our thanks from the English family that didn't find it cool at night!). There was a lot of food options so great for our fussy eaters and it was to a high standard so plenty for the adults too. Just the relaxing week we were looking & hoped for, Thank you we will definitely return.

I have just returned from a 7-day holiday to Senseana with my two daughters (aged 5 and 12), from October 18-25th. This is my review. Firstly, in my experience, this was definitely not a 5-star hotel. Four-star fine, especially if you’ve got a room with a private pool or jacuzzi. Some aspects were 3-star. But simply not 5-star. Room I had read on other reviews that the double room is very small and well worth upgrading to a family suite, so I did that in my booking…..and so I was a bit surprised to find my room pretty small/cramped and really rather basic. There was just nothing ‘5-star’ about it…..a double bed and a sofa bed, a tv, enough space to walk around the beds (but nothing more than that), a little balcony overlooking the room below’s private pools, and an ok bathroom. Free safe and mini-bar though (woohoo). Small and very basic is the perfect description. Was kept nice and clean though by a hard-working housekeeping lady.

 Beds

 One double bed, and one sofa bed. My daughters slept on the double bed, which I believe was ok. The sofa bed, however, was like sleeping on a hard slab, with zero give to it, and no where to tuck sheets in to. It felt like lying on a hard couch in a dentist’s surgery waiting room. Basically, as far from luxury 5-star as sofa beds can possibly get.

Maybe its just me, but I'm not sure why a family suite in a 5-star hotel doesn't have enough proper beds for a small family to sleep in. And as other reviews have mentioned, the pillows are rubbish. In fact, beyond rubbish. They are the worst pillows you will find in a hotel. Or a hostel. Or probably a prison. How the hotel can respond to so many reviews that mention the pillows being atrocious, and yet do nothing about them, is….something….I guess. It may even be worth making the trip just to see how pathetically useless pillows can get.

 Waterpark/Swimming Pool

 This is undoubtedly the hotel’s main attraction, and indeed the very reason I booked this hotel for my daughters, who both love swimming, water-slides, etc. So I can only emphasise our extreme disappointment that the water was so prohibitively freezing cold, that we only made it in once to both pools, for a grand total of 5 minutes the entire holiday. When I went in myself, I jumped in and swam underwater straight to the other side in cold shock, where I had to immediately get out just to breathe….it had very literally taken my breathe away. My eldest daughter tried all the slides a couple of times on the first day, and reported back that the parts where each section joins to the next was raised slightly, hurting as she went down all but one of the slides (there are I think 5 or 6 in total). That, combined with the freezing water, meant she didn’t try them again at all the whole holiday. Unheard of for my daughter, so they really must've been bad. The main pool was just as freezing cold, and very very few people braved the temperatures at all whilst we were there. I understand that its the tail
