Duiker Game Lodge

My daughter and I had the best time at Duiker Game Lodge. The staff work incredibly well together. The small intimate lodge makes it the ideal getaway to feel properly relaxed as well as the perfect atmosphere to meet fellow travellers, both local and international alive. The game drives were great and informative.

We stayed for a week and enjoyed every minute. Loved the quiet, peaceful location and animals roaming outside the lodges. The food was excellent and all of the staff were so friendly, and went above and beyond to make us welcome. The on site game drives were great with plenty to see, and just 30 mins to the main park. Perfect family getaway.

We stayed over a weekend, and we we blown away. From the friendly welcome, delicious meals, to the amazing game drive and knowledgeable Simphiwe to arriving back to the lodge after a morning drive to find our car had been washed and dried. It was filthy having driven in Mkuze game reserve and Hluhluwe game reserve. The food was out of this world, the breakfast pack we asked for at 4h20am on the Saturday morning was above and beyond what we expected. It was the little things that made the experience awesome. The rooms are big and spacious, and the shower was fantastic. We sadly didn't get to spend much time at the lodge, we were out early and back in time for a quick freshen up and then dinner. The three course meals were amazing, breakfast was also delicious. We most definitely will be back.

We were sad to only spend one night here. The lodge is in a lovely location, and it has spacious, tastefully decorated and well equipped cottages and shared ares. Unfortunately we weren't there long enough to make use of all the facilities, but the well prepared meals and the early morning game drive with our knowledgeable guide made up for it. Only downside was the long and slightly scary drive up the N2 to get there!

Duiker Game Lodge is a hidden gem just a few km's away from the Hluhluwe park. Offering a boutique experience with 8 rooms, you are treated with care and a personal touch from the moment you arrive. A wonderful team is there to assist you with anything you need. The rooms are large and offer all you need with a massive bed 🤣. There is a common lounge and bar area, as well as a library and games area for rainy days. The pool offers beautiful views of the Lodge while you soak up the sun. Breakfast and dinners are enjoyed on the farm and you get to interact with other guests while enjoying a 3 course dinner meal each night. After dinner you can share drinks and stories around the boma outside and find other guests quickly becoming familiar friends. The farm offers game drives and they can arrange any other activity for you in the surrounding area, so you van just show up and enjoy ❤️. Overall Duiker offers great value for money compared to many of the farms in the area. Marli, Sibu, Sifiso and the rest of team will make your experience memorable.

Sifiso and the game drives are just WOW! His historic knowledge keeps you thinking for days on end. Keep up the good work Sifiso. Wandile and his hospitality was absolutely excellent and the Chef's food is absolutely divine. Overall, a very exciting and special stay. Definitely good value for money.
