Kapama Karula

It’s amazing!!!)

We went to Kapama Karula with our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter and stayed in two villas for 5 days. It was the most amazing experience of my life. When we got picked up from the airport we were greeted by our Ranger Elvis and Tracker Shaney and stepped aboard the Game viewer vehicle. The moment we arrived we started the safari. Throughout the five days we learned from Elvis all about the African animals habitat, some characteristics of the animals, all with a fun sense of humor .The scenery and close up encounters with leopards, lions, elephants, rhino and more, were heart pounding. My granddaughter even got to make a cast of leopard prints that she showed her classmates when she got back home. When we got to Kapama we were greeted warmly by the staff who made us feel so welcomed. In those five days I had many wonderful meals that were creatively executed and a palatal delight. Our server Micheck was very knowledgeable about wine pairings and anticipated our every needs. He went above and beyond to help our stay be one of great fond memories. The villa was the over the top in luxury with a stand alone tub, shower head mounted to the ceiling and ample room to move around. Through the glass windows and facing a beautiful flowing river, was a salt water swimming pool and outdoor lounge area. Kapama has created a bit of paradise and we are so happy we were able to experience it.

My partner and I recently visited Kapama Karula. It was hands down the best experience of my life. Even when asked we struggled to come up with any negative feedback for them because it was pretty much a flawless experience. We've travelled a fair amount and are decently picky, if something isn't truly 5* I would say so. The service and food was fantastic, they catered to our dietary needs incredibly well and the room was spotlessly clean. Our tour guide Sifiso was knowledgeable, sociable, friendly and funny without being overbearing. Our spotter Martin was professional, respectful and attentive. Our main waitress Loveness was a dream. She was friendly, cheerful and nothing was ever too much. The reception and bar staff were also really lovely. We didn't meet anyone who dragged down the mood (even the other tourists were a joy!) Aside from all this we got to see the big 5 several times on our trip and it was clear that this is an ethical safari which was a concern of mine before booking. If you want a luxury safari with amazing food and service I couldn't recommend it more.
