Karongwe Portfolio - Kuname Lodge

I travelled with my mother for a five night stay at Kuname Lodge. It was beatufilly appointed and our room was spectacular and expectionally clean. The amenities provided were changed each day and we had a turn down service each night. The rooms have an outdoor shower and bath, which you must take advantage of. Situated near a river our deck had great viewing for any wildlife wandering past. Glenn and Ingrid were amazing and their hospitality was brilliant, they are very knowledgable and will help you with anything that you need, including day trips and helicopter or Balloon flights. We had three,meals a day, the presentation and taste were 5 star, hats off to their chefs. No thing was too difficult. Mandla- our Game Driver and Colin -out tracker promised all the animals and they certainly gave us everything, from three cheetah hunting to two leopards in the middle of the track, and the rest of the Big Five. Morning and Afternoon Game Drives are a must with the addition of a stop for drinks as the sun is setting. If you are up for a massage, ask for Connie she does a lovely smotth massge. In all we were totaly impressed and would not hesitate to return here as the hospitality was fantastic. Kind Regards, Kirsty Macdonald

It was our third time there and once again, we were not disappointed. An extremely well managed lodge with friendly staff and great food! This is the only risk: The food; beware of those extra kilo's you are going to gain ☺. As I said to one of the chefs, the food and presentation thereof compares with any gourmet restaurant. What a great place to rest and enjoy the bush. These people go the x-tra mile with a smile. Really hope to be there again as soon as possible after those leopard babies are born. We actually watch them mating from the comfort of the deck!!

Excellent boutique hotel in a private game reserve. The hotel served delicious food, including a Saturday night bar-b-q that included the trackers from the game reserve. The individual cabins were well appointed, with indoor and outdoor showers, and a lovely large deck overlooking the river and surrounding forests. Manager Glen was very accommodating and ensured that all of our needs were looked after.

Such a beautiful place and amazing staff. I would highly recomend Kuname Lodge as a place to relax and get in touch with nature. You will probably see the Big 5, as I did, and have a good experience with local foods and beverages.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights as part of our honeymoon :) We had a lovely stay! The highlight for us was the game drives. Mandela and Colin were fabulous. A huge thank you to both of them for making our experience so wonderful. The sundowner was just wonderful while watching the sunset and seeing animals. Our room was clean and well equipped. We had the premium (honey moon suite) and I think it was worth it for the extra space. We never used the outside bathroom but it looked lovely. We also never used the pool but again it looked lovely. A little too cold for us at that time of year! A wonderful way to end our amazing honeymoon trip in South Africa. Such an amazing country!

We had the best time at Kuname. The game drives were outstanding with Eddie and Rexon as they showed us in just four drives the Big 5 an even more. The area, the lodges, the spa massage and the food were also very good and we had nearly no reason for complaints. Just the Wifi unfortunately didn't work in our room which made us also think we were really in the bush. We would definitely come back here if in the area.
