Mohlabetsi Safari Lodge

8 of us stayed in 4 rondavels for 5 nights in July. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive. The rondavels were very comfy (great bed) and spacious. The food was sensational. We had a boma each night which was fantastic and enhanced our "Safari" experience. Weather during the day was perfect at that time of year. 5 consecutive days of low to mid 20s with cloudless skies. Probably a bit cool for the pool but lovely lying on the banana lounges looking out to a watering hole. All of the game drives with Hamilton and Enoch were amazing. We actually saw the Big 5 during one afternoon drive!! We also did a walking safari guided by Janco and Chade. This gave a different perspective and was really interesting and gave us some badly needed exercise. I cannot fault any element of our stay at Mohlabetsi. It was a charming lodge set amongst beautiful gardens and trees and lots of birdlife. Thank you to everyone!!

We spent our first South African game reserve and lodge stay in Mohlabetsi. Set within Balule reserve, the lodge has a scenic view opening up to the forest. The staff ( Jo, Henritte and others) were courteous and helped us to settle in. The Rooms were comfortable and the food was good and customized to our palate. Lucky was our ranger/tracker all through our stay and through his efforts we were able to spot the big 5. Hats off to his perseverance and focus to showcase the animals in their natural habitat. We also sighted elephants and giraffe near the lodge as they came in to drink water. ( Lodge is protected through a wired fencing) We enjoyed the company of other guests during the drives, breakfast and lunch. Saw several birds during the noon. Dinner was organized in Boma and it was a special event. We also witnessed the staff putting out a great song and dance sequence and inviting us to join them as well. All in all a comfortable stay, food and game viewing experience.

Everything was great. This lodge is amazing, very well located. Really good food and incredible diner in the boma. We are close to nature and you can observe easily wildlife directly from the camp. Good stay for sure

Amazingly, luxurious and very welcoming. The staff was very friendly and with a good sense of humor - especially our guide Lucky. Every day you were served healthy and delicious meals with the view of the gorgeous savanna. On the evening game drives you had a sundown drink, while watching the beautiful sunset. After some days at Mohlabetsi i was more relaxed and fulfilled than ever.

Had a great time during our three nights here. The entire staff was fantastic with a terrific feeling at the lodge and some of the best game viewing experiences we’ve had in Southern Africa. The food at each meal was delightful with the desserts being a consistent highlight. We saw multiple leopards across our game drives as well as both black and white rhinos

Wonderful accommodation, fantastic people and an excellent way of interacting with wild animals. From the suite and rondavels, the different locations for having breakfast, lunch and dinner to the magnificent game drives with lots of interaction, it all gave a supreme added-on value to our holiday. Everything about the Mohlabetsi team breathes passion for their guests, nature and wildlife. Go there, you will not be disappointed!
