Hokitika Fire Station Boutique Accommodation

Our family of four recently had an unforgettable experience at the Hokitika Fire Station. Housed in a beautifully restored 150-year-old fire station, the hotel combines heritage features with modern amenities. Upon arrival, we were struck by the cleanliness throughout the property. The staff take great pride in maintaining a high standard. We stayed in the Chief Millard room, which was conveniently located on the ground floor, and was very spacious and elegantly furnished. The beds were comfortable, and the quality of the furnishings and linens exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail in every aspect of the room design was impressive. The hotel’s central location allowed us to explore Hokitika easily. If you’re looking for a charming and unique place to stay in Hokitika, the Hokitika Fire Station is an absolute gem.

The Hokitika fire station boutique accommodation is a wonderful place don’t get me wrong but we had are ups and downs there. We were staying in chief hernshaws room with 3 bedrooms cause we’re a 6 people family very comfortable beds but at 5.20 AM the fire alarm went off. We where out there for a while until the fire fighters came and that was really the end of are stay overall lovely place highly recommended it

The location is excellent and the building is very unique. Loved the ease of booking and check in. We stayed in the Chief Thompson room. This was well appointed modern industrial look. The bed is comfy and the amenities in the room are excellent. We had a kitchenette in our room with a coffee machine. The room is spacious and stull cosy. Very comfortable accomodation and a hidden gem. Would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back! Thanks for a memorable stay
