Corazón Mexicano

We really enjoyed the stay in corazon mexicano, the hotel is closed to the port and about 10 mins from the beach. The Hotel is small and it doesn't have all the confort you can find in a luxury resort, but for us it was enough as we spent most of days around the island. Fernando the receptionist, helped us to move around the island, with recommendations about bars, restaurants and beach to see.

Overall a wonderful stay, the loveliest staff - they will help with everything, the rooms were great and the breakfast was a yummy bonus to start the day ◡̈ Location is further from town but allows for a nice walk through the not so touristy streets (excellent location in distance to Harbor)! Will definitely return next time!! ◡̈

Reality did not meet expectations!! It's not what it loos like! Worst of all was no interest in solving the situation for us. When we booked another hotel they took in other guests and still did not give us any compensation. Montserrat was not helpful at all!

UPDATE - CREDIT CARD CHARGES - See attached images - BEWARE please take caution and look online- Google search this hotel. I am not the only one that has had UNAUTHORIZED charges to credit card. Hotel comes up with excuses in not providing a refund to a 100% UNAUTHORIZED charge to credit card. Excuses upon excuses and HOURS of time and follow up to no avail: 'change in management' 'I'm just a worker here and I submitted your request to our Accounting department', 'we can't refund your credit card, the machine won't let us so could you provide bank account details' - all STALL tactics and NO REFUND received to date, despite immediate cancellation when noticed first credit card charge. Hotel then made additional charges. Requested refund be processed immediately through *******, 3 months later now still no refund. Hotel hangs up on ******* agents. Hotel tells ******* agents 'they thought that they had already processed the refund' . Hotel has the nerve to say me 'didn't you notify your bank' - Um... excuse me? They seem to think that they can get peoples credit card details from *******, charge cards in advance of bookings although booking indicated "PAY AT STAY" for a booking still MONTHS AWAY and was PAY AT STAY The hotel made multiple charges on card and has not refunded despite constant follow up for over 3 months now. Hotel seems to think they can randomly make credit card charges and then as 'tourists' we can simply 'follow up with our bank' as if that will solve the issue and they can in turn, keep the money!!! AMAZING SCAM on their part isn't it? UNETHICAL HOTEL. DO NOT SUPPORT THEM. Perhaps the place and the staff are nice according to other reviews HOWEVER whomever it is that is getting your credit card info from booking is charging cards without authorization. GO ELSEWHERE. I would not risk it. See attached images.

Nous sommes arrivés et avons du attendre près de 45 minutes qu une personne daigne nous rencontrer. Et la une explication farfelue de non n prise en compte de la réservation airbnb car c est une autre société . Bien sur on nous demande régler les deux nuits prévues en cash. Le logement ne reflète que peu les photos tout comme la terrasse avec la piscine, le logement était sale et si deux chambres sont bien présentes avec une literie moyenne, il n est pas possible de prendre un repas car pas de couverts pour 4 ni de verres….

Afschuwelijk hotel, ze ontkennen alles.Booking geeft geen geld terug. Na aankomst, zwembad was leeg , geen water. De wc spoelt niet door. Veel lawaai van garage/motorbende aan de achterkant., harde muziek dag en nacht. slechte locatie. ontbijt was gedroogde stokbroodplakjes met koffie. Geen water om te douchen. de mevrouw aan de receptie/ spreekt helaas geen engels of andere taal. We hadden 5 nachten geboekt via ***********, dit ook mede door de foto's en goede reviews op hun site. Na 1 nacht zijn we weggegaan en een ander onderkomen gezocht. Booking doet helaas niets, het hotel ontkend alles en boeking gaat hiermee akkoord
