YHA Mei Ho House Youth Hostel recensioner

I stayed in the 8 beds dorm and all was perfect. Beds have no courtains but are really comfortable. All was clean and the location is 10 mins walking far from the metro station. I had a bad experience with two big guys snoring really hard, but this is not fault of the hostel :)

Service was great. I needed to extend the staying period for five days but no room available for one day in between. I then made a request to reserve a room for me in case someone made a cancellation. A few days later, a room was released, and I was informed immediately. Hence, I could stay in a same room for the whole period. Otherwise, it would be troublesome. Thanks so much for the reservation and front desk staff.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Knowing Hong Kong space is really expensive. The room is big enough to accommodate 8 persons with comfortable and clean bedding. The hotel's location is really good. Close to mtr, taxi and bus stop. Shopping is a must to this place super cheap at sham sui fu day Market.

Come here around Christmas and I like how affordable the room is during this time of the year. Hostel is really christmasy, kinda cool that they got Santa hanging on the building

The front desk staff was unfriendly, especially the young boy, and then when I got to my room, I found that the pillowcase on the bed was yellow and the sheets were not clean.In short, it is not recommended.

Nice hotel but no so accessible. Need to pay a deposit of 500 and they don't accept 1000 notes. Need to bring along all pillow cases, bed sheets and comforter covers when checking out. Nice hiking trail behind the hostel.

Here, So nice! Lots of restaurant nearby. Quite close to station. Nighttime is not that dangerous. Service is nice! Will come back again.

Good location - away from hustle and bustle but literally only about 5 mins walk to get to the busy markets and complexes etc.. The shared dorminatories can be a little hit/miss depending who you end up sharing the room with but that's the risk you take for these sort of bookings. The place is generally clean and tidy and the bed is comfortable enough.

I booked a double room. The room is large. Great location.  Please be ready to bring your own daily necessities as nothing will be provided. You can obtain them in their store but the price is high.  Nearly no services will be provided. Even you have to return the bed sheets before you check-out.  Generally that is not bad for those who have limited budgets. Just lower your expectations.

My favourite place to stay in Hong Kong. The rooms are clean, modern, and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and organised, and the hostel has a kitchen, a communal area with outdoor seating, and a laundry room (washing and drying cost around 60 HKD at the time). Food places and shops are right around the corner, and public transport to the city centre or other parts of HK is close by. Fun fact: the building was originally one of the first public housing projects in Hong Kong, built in the 1950s, and it was also awarded with Honourable Mention by UNESCO in 2015. There’s even a museum dedicated to its history right across from the hostel entrance.

Nice place to stay, clean environment, if YHA can provide filter water would be better!

Nice clean quiet hostel. There is a communal kitchen with washing machines and hot water. The rooms were cleaned every day and there are lockers in the rooms. It is a 5 minute walk to the MRT station and shops/restaurants.

Had to have surgery nearly two weeks prior to booking. They made no accommodation, even changing the booking dates to even the following week. Wasted money, clearly they do not care about their customers - I have to imagine the experience would have been poor had I been able to make my stay.
