West Hotel recensioner

The hotel is a walking distance from the Kowloon station and the night market. Also so close to great shopping streets and many restaurants. We found the room very very clean, no smell at all and good conditions. The staff operated fast to check us in and was very kind when we needed to make another room card for both of us. For fast trips I will definitely go back to West Hotel! 

Clean n polite customer service. Good location to stay in and surrouding with night market n shops.

Room was basic, but had not very clean. No water bottles or toiletries given, especially after paying RMB 500. The day of hotel was selling rooms for RMB 250 but Ctrip would not price match.

Near the train station,for business trip is ok,the hotel is good located in HK.

There was a terrible smell in the room, the carpet was very dirty and full of stains and the overall condition of the room was terrible. Although the location is near the train station, the place is not worth the price.

They upgraded the room for me, the family suit is good for family stay! Big enough at this price.  Everything is very simple but neat, and it’s very convenient to MTR station and West Kowloon train station!  Worth the price!

This is a great location if you are traveling on the high speed train from the mainland. Close to many shops and food. Easy transport to the airport. The room was small, but priced accordingly. It was clean enough with good air conditioning. I will stay again next time I transit through Hong Kong.

Good location and good air conditioner, Hotel very close to Austin and Jordan MTR station, also you can walk to West Kowloon for High sppee train to China and Kowloon station.

Let's talk about the good points of West Hotel first. It has an exceptional convenient location. I arrived from ShenZhen by high speed rail and the hotel is only a few minutes from the rail station. Despite the fact that West Hotel is situated at a relatively quiet street, it is only a few minutes away from the busy Jordan Road, attractions like Temple Street, Nathan Road, etc. There are numerous restaurants and activities in the vicinity. Other than it's convenient location, I can hardly find other merits to the hotel. The reception is cold as ice, not even a smile, very rare nowadays. The room I was in was very old and need renovation. The carpet is very dirty and smelling. The beds are very hard and marginally acceptable. The pillows are dead and flat. We need to ask for a few more pillows to sleep. The bathroom is a nightmare. In domestic household, it's common to see molds on caulkings as sealent in the bathrooms. Every now and then, the caulking has to be removed. Cleaning is hardly successful. In the bathroom of West Hotel I stayed, an immediate renovation and removal of dirty caulking must be carried out to ensure it's hygiene. Worst still, I found some wet bathroom tissues inside the shower. It's obvious that the chamber maid didn't clean the shower. His/her supervisor is either absent or didn't do their job properly. The size of the room is quite big. Since we are packing up to leave HK, the spaces allowed us to do a proper packing. All in all, I will not stay in West Hotel again nor recommend it to others.

The shower mixer is poor - cannot get the temperature for shower, either too hot or too cold. And the hotel does not provide toiletries - cost HK$20 per pax. Location is excellent - near to Austin MRT and West Kowloon HSR to China, all through underground passages that is just 2-3 minutes from hotel.

As I read, no water on room. The room, especially the old bathroom, was not clean at all. They did not have a European plug in order to connect computer for work.

We really liked this hotel. The beds were very comfortable, water in shower gets nice and hot, and the location is great. You can walk from the hotel to Hong Kong West Kowloon Railway station by entering the subway station located directly on the corner. Super convenient.
