Hotel Indigo Hong Kong Island

The service at this hotel is great and it’s great value for money. The staff, especially the doorman, was incredibly kind and attentive.

was in town for some meetings and my wife decided to join me. chose the indigo as it was close to the mtr and i had some meetings to attend over at kowloon. (i am not a fan of staying on the other side) service, location and the amenities provided were great. we got a free breakfast every day, i thought it was very generous of the hotel to do so. However, the decor/room arrangements were less desirable though, the toilet layout set with bathroom and toilet separate without a privacy panel made it really awkward even for a married couple. which while amusing, was definitely not a highlight. i could only assume the designer/architect was either inexperienced or had peculiar leanings.

Stay was extended due to a typhoon and the front desk staff helped to make the online booking through trip.com match with their own system so I didn’t have to switch rooms.

The location was fantastic just walking distance from Wan Chai station with lots of food options right outside the hotel. The room was nice and quiet and spacious by HK standards. Appreciated the tea and toiletries selection. Will definitely stay there again

Wonderful hotel in a nice location in HK, though the swimming pool is closed & the breakfast is limited

All the hotel staff are extremely hospitable, professional, and polite. However, that is the only positive aspect of the hotel. The property is very basic and desperately in need of renovation. On the travel app, it is advertised as one of the top 20 most Instagrammable hotels in Hong Kong, but I have no idea what one would photograph. The swimming pool on the 27th floor was locked, but through the door, I could see that it was very small and shallow—unsuitable even for children. The location is right next to a street market, which can get extremely crowded. Breakfast, advertised as a semi-buffet, was very simple and below average. This review is directed at IHG, as they should seriously consider renovating the property. The staff are doing their best, but as it stands, this is hardly a 4-star hotel. I initially chose it because of my previous stay at Indigo Bangkok, which was a much better experience.
