Ah Shan Hostel

Absolutely liked everything about this hotel. Its a gem for us who travel in a budget with free hot and cold water , universal port for all your charging needs. Very accomodating staff and front desk, super convenient location, everything exceeded my expectations.

We had a great time at Ah Shan Hostel. It is in the centre of Mong Kok and has great transport links. The owner is very helpful and recommended us to get some food before the level 10 Typhoon Wipha. She also let us store our bags after checkout which was very kind. This is a great place to stay on a budget!

Super tiny room, and not very clean either. It is what you should expect when booking a hostel in Hong Kong. A/C and hot water works fine and the manager of the hostel was super helpful in getting us settled in and answering any questions we had.

It's a very old building. Air conditioning is OK. Alright to stay for short stay. Cleanliness acceptable. Room a bit small

This is probably one of the better ones in Hong Kong given the price, quite value for money. However, the heater took a while to heat the water up and the toilet bowl couldn’t really flush very well, and there was always a weird smell from the toilet. The room is very small, only fit for one person to walk through. The window was opens to the common corridor so we never opened it, so it seemed like not having a window at all. There was also no boiler for water and you will have to take water from the counter. Overall it is a small and compact hostel located in an old building but decent enough and location is excellent, go here if you are on a budget and on a short trip!
