Westmead Hotel Bar & Restaurant

Had a fantastic afternoon tea with a friend. The food was delicious, great variety of sandwiches/little cakes and the scones were fab (lots of clotted cream and jam). Tea/coffee were topped up whenever we needed and all the staff were attentive and friendly. We’ll definitely be back.

My surprise 60th birthday was arranged for me at the Westmead Hotel. what an truly wonderful experience. I had the most perfect evening. Staff working that night (and the following morning serving the delicious breakfast) worked so very hard and were so friendly and very helpful. the food was just amazing and there were so many comments on this. It was brought out and cleared with utmost efficiency. fantastic DJ who worked the crowd very well and played all my favourites. The room was the perfect size for the 110 people attending with ample room to dance. Wish i had noted the staff names so I could thank them individually. A heart felt Thank you to you all for making it one of the best nights of my life. Congratulations Ben on your fantastic team.

We celebrated my wife’s surprise 60th birthday here , with over 100 guests attending and I simply cannot praise The Westmead, Ben , Janine and their entire team enough. From our first planning meeting to the event itself , everyone of them went above and beyond to help make it the incredible success that it was. Following recommendations I chose their brilliant resident DJ, Paul, Their highly recommended Sweet trolley lady and their delicious hot and cold buffet ,together with the wonderful overnight accommodation and breakfast , which was enjoyed by several of our guests, the entire party was a completely overwhelming success. The helpfulness, kindness, attention to detail and the commitment of all the team was so noticeable in everything they did and the fact that my wife had the most wonderful Birthday ever ( her words, not mine ) was due in no small part to the work that the whole team put in . I would highly recommend The Westmead and can’t wait to return there at the earliest opportunity. 10/10

Went there for an evening meal. There is a good varied menu. I am vegetarian and there were lots of options. Prices are very reasonable. The food was delicious hot and very good portions. The staff were warm, friendly and welcoming. They were attentive without encroaching on our evening. Lovely environment.

We went on our annual Christmas meal for the Mother in law’s birthday. From the moment we entered the building to we left we all felt wanted by all the staff. The big difference from the Westmead to other places is that they may have had to put prices up every year like every other place of Business but the size, Quality and presentation has never dropped. The hotel reception and surrounding area have all been repainted and with the Christmas decorations loves so welcoming. We were shown to our table and we went to the bar to get drinks in and the staff were excellent in telling us which wine was best. Within 5-10 mins of sitting down our starters were brought out, then our mains around 30 mins later and then our desserts 30 mins later. We never once felt rushed and nothing was any trouble for the staff. After we all finished we decided to go into the lounge area which has also been redecorated and had new furniture and we all have tea/coffees with a biscuit. We be back hopefully for Mother’s Day next year but if it will be back for December next year. Well done Ben and your excellent team.

The team at the westmead really gave us our dream day! We dealt with Janine from the beginning and nothing was ever too much trouble. We built a relationship with her over a year planning and was so happy she even came and saw us on our big day! On the day everything looked amazing and ran so smoothly nothing went wrong. Scott looked after us on the day and he did a fabulous job. The food was amazing! All the guests commented on how nice it was. I really can’t thank you all at the westmead enough. I would recommend anyone to book here for an amazing wedding experience.

Booked for 7 people for a Father's Day treat. On arrival, the menu showed online differed from that on day,both price and food wise,staff were informed. The food was cold,meat overcooked, and tough. 2 Meals returned, and replacements declined as others in the restaurant had also complained. Having sent in 3 emails, I'm still waiting for a reply. Very poor customer service and experience.

Big hotel with plenty of parking although many vehicles were taking up two spaces because of inconsiderate drivers but still plenty of space. The hotel was clean, staff were pleasant snd helpful, especially the housekeeping team. I had a standard room that was clean, comfortable, big bed and bathroom facilities were clean. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

An excellent venue for our charity's team building event. The staff really looked after us and we all came away energised and full of ideas.
