Royal Island Resort recensioner

The location is good and beautiful, but the access from Male Airport is pretty bad and hotel kept us wait at the airport for quite long. They only have 2 flight in one day and they never tell us the exact time previously. The facility is not bad though.

This resort was outstanding. We went to the Maldives last year to a different resort and loved it so much we booked again. Thank goodness we went there first as if we had gone there second, we would have been disappointed! Royal resort lt was outstanding in every way. Our concierge mark was excellent, remon who supplied our room was amazing and created awesome decorations, chathu at the restaurant was lovely and every person we met was just great. The nature and wildlife is also incredible, food was great, the excursions were interesting and unique, it was just excellent. Only downside is a few mosquitoes but they sell some repellent here for a few dollars (we brought some powerful stuff from uk that did nothing) that took me from over 20 bites in 1 day to 1 bite in 7 days so even this wasn’t a problem in the end.

Not our first time in the Maldives but definitely the best trip so far. Mark took care of us really well during our stay. All the staff we encountered were polite and helpful. The food in all the restaurants are excellent! All-Inclusive is the way to go. The beach, pool, excursions are all amazing and will have something for everyone. I would go back in a heartbeat!

The green island is very beautiful and gives the guest lots of privacy. The rooms are very clean with lots of space. There are plenty of activities provided on the island and as water sports or trips. It is possible to swim and practice snorkeling with fantastic clear water. The very friendly and attentive service was flawless as well as the meals and drinks. Overall tge experience surpassed our expectations. Well done!

Amazing two weeks! Everything was fine. Great service overall and beautiful island with many activity options. Esp. with All Inclu some activities such as sunset fishing already included. Big Thanks to Faridun for the great care during our stay and to the dive center team as well!

It’s been a beautiful vacation with everything we needed and more. Great island, great house reef with sharks, turtles, rays and all fish there are. Service and personal concierge was outstanding. Premium all in included everything we needed and was super tasty. A la carte restaurant was beautiful with great menu. Dive center was great at service and support. We’d def visit again! Great price value!

The trip was breathtaking and the activities widely varied. Our hostess Roji was very professional and reacted extremely fast to meet all of our needs. Our waiter Surjith made our delicious lunches even better, being very attentive. Mithila and the cooks have been very helpful as well, advising us regarding the (for us) exotic food. The beach and view have been phenomenal and the beach room we stayed in very clean. The whole personell was friendly at all times.

We have been to the Maldives many times, all the time staying in 5 star hotels, so we have a lot to compare it to. But this trip exceeded all our expectations. It took us quite a long time to get to the hotel: by local airlines and then by boat, but it was worth it. The island is big and very green, lots of birds, especially parrots, a very rich coral reef with various fishes, if you are lucky you can see mantas and turtles. Once I even saw dolphins. The ocean deserves special attention: the cleanest and very warm azure water keeps you inside for hours, you just do not want to get out of it. Bungalows are not large, but very cozy, with the direct access to the beach. Despite the fact that the hotel is always fully booked, you can rest quietly and privately, there are always places in the restaurant. We really liked the entertainment program: the hotel has a lot of activities, as well as live music in the bar almost every night, you will not get bored. Excellent food: every day there is a variety of dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, several times a week you can eat delicious seafood: mussels, squid, shrimps and crabs. Just Yummy! One evening a week is dedicated to Japanese cuisine, with an abundance of rolls on the menu. Special thanks to the hotel for the signs indicating that the dish contains gluten! The service is simply superb. From the moment you arrive on the island you are surrounded with attention and care as if you were the only guest in the hotel. The staff does it's best to make your vacation unforgettable: always polite and friendly, ready to help at any time, immediately fulfill your request (in other hotels we had to wait 24 hours and more). Our special thanks go to: our hostess Lakshi, who smiled at us every day and charged us with positivity, our wonderful waiter Pandi, who brought the most delicious coffee and was always happy to serve, our service manager Nipun Shanitha, who made sure that we were as comfortable and cozy as possible in the hotel, and to the entire hotel staff. You guys are amazing, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for such a warm welcome and a luxurious vacation. We hope to come back again!

After travelling to the Maldives several times, we ended up at the Royal Island Resort and Spa this year. After a long journey with a domestic flight and boat trip, a great, green and clean resort awaited us, which has been around for a while. Thanks to the great work of all the staff, whether in the restaurant, at the bar or in service (special mention should be made of Nobel from the service team, who was on hand to help and advise us), you feel like you're part of a big family here. The catering (within AI) is excellent and questions and requests of any kind are taken very seriously and fulfilled. After our return journey, we were still in very good contact with our host Nobel, who provided us with news (the young turtles have just hatched on the island) and pictures, making our return a little sweeter. Many thanks to him and best wishes. We can highly recommend a visit to the resort and are already looking forward to our next stay in the Maldives.

The people here are amazing. Everybody made sure that we had an amazing experience. Will definitelly come back again !!! Special thanks to our island host Minny who was very helpfull and to Nor from house keeping who made our villa spotless.

Beautiful island, lovely staff! So welcoming, nothing was a problem. Plenty of choice in the restaurant and bar. Mark was our host and was most helpful and a very positive and happy individual ☺️. We highly recommend a stay here, especially if you are looking for a restful and relaxing holiday.
