Biggy Best was a good place to stay, very friendly staff, just one bit of advice the fans in room 2 and 3 need to be sorted out they aren't screwed in properly so the noise is quite irritating

Great location. Close to shops, sightseeing, and town Centre. Old world charm with modern convenience. Balcony facing the serene garden was a favorite.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, good restaurants with great food - sweet fig pizza amazing. Really enjoyed my stay at Biggy - go to bnb when in Howick

The property is close to all amenities. The accommodation was disappointing and the service was lacking. The restaurant had a basic menu but the food was good.

I booked this stay for corporate clients who were really thrilled with the accommodation. Everything was really comfortable. From my end, I found their service really went above and beyond as the guests were arriving late for check in but their flight was delayed even further and the accommodation actually called to touch base with me to make sure everything ran smoothly which I really appreciated.

We had a most enjoyable stay over at Biggy Best Cottages. Service at reception was friendly, professional and efficient. The room was spacious, had a wonderful bath and a comfortable bed. Great value for money. Would come back.

The good part The establishment is located in a quaint spacious, fully fenced garden and is very central to all amenities. The setting is very peaceful and the staff that we came in contact with were extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the weather was wet and misty therefore not ideal to spend exploring the grounds which we would have loved to do. The “log” cabin that we had was on the small size but it was clean and had all the facilities for a two night stop over. The not so good part We were told that we could book in any time after 14h00 yet when we arrive at approx... 15h45 we were informed that we’d have to wait as our room was not ready. We spent about 20mins. waiting before we were shown to our room which was rather annoying to say the least. The following day we were away for the day and when we arrived back at approx... 16h45 to have a shower and get ready to go out for a meal we found we had no towels. Surely this could have been done sometime during the course of the day while we were out. Sorry but the not so good part has cost you a star. We will be back in Howick before the end of November and will stop over again. Hopefully on the next visit the not so good part will have been sorted out and we can give you 5 stars.

We stayed at this establishment as it came well recommended yet this couldn't be further from the truth. We stayed in the Loft Room and the guests downstairs decided to hold a night long party which the establishment could not, and did not, contain hence a sleepless, very noisy night was experienced by my family! I was contacted a couple of days later by the owners who apologised yet when i mentioned they refund us for the night i never heard from them again....nothing more to say! Additional to this the room was not clean and linen definitely requires replacing as well as the lace curtains. It can be seen that there is no effective inspections carried out and standards are extremely poor.

We upgraded our accommodation to the self catering Honeymoon Suite!! If I was on Honeymoon I would be very upset. The room we got was not the same one I upgraded too on the site. The kitchen - 1 chair by the table, 1 Glass, no frying pan, no opener, no chopping board, no spoons and no iron or ironing board. I did complain about it. We had to go out for breakfast. Some of the stuff was there when we got back. It would of being cheaper for us to have stayed at the wedding venue. I must say the beds were very comfy. The spa bath filter needs to be cleaned, the water changed colour when we put the vents on.
