Had a Sunday roast here with our walking group the place was packed says something the staff were very busy mix of family couples friends. Great big out door seating area some covered . The food was lovely we had to wait a while understandable they were very busy didn’t bother us as it was a great time to catch up with everyone. The management offered us a drink to compensate for the wait nice gesture but we understood not like staff were standing round they were extremely busy. Food came out lovely an hot an very tasty so worth the wait couldn’t fit in a sweet to my disappointment. Lovely place great atmosphere definitely go again an maybe stay next time it’s a great location

Enjoyed our stay at the Green Lodge. This hotel is in a great location for the easy walk into the village with many interesting shops/cafes/pubs. Also it's within a short distance to the railway station where the trains are every 15 mins. into the city centre of Liverpool. The food in the hotel is delicious and the staff are so pleasant and helpful. Our room was large and comfortable with a good shower. We loved the Abba tribute night on New Year's Eve. This is our second visit and we'll definitely be back.

Used the pub as a base to travel to Liverpool for the day. Perfect location for the Metro. Pub looked very nice as did the food although didn’t eat there. Bathroom in bedroom 3 probably needs a bit of a makeover - glass shelf over sink was a bit awkward. All in all fantastic value and perfect for what we wanted. Have stayed at quite a few Marston pubs and they have all been great. Will definitely be visting again. Diolch yn fawr/ Thanks

The Christmas decor was amazing ,Atmosphere fabulous The food was wonderful ,Karina and her team worked wonders ,The service was very smooth and faultless the food was well presented and tasted marvellous the atmosphere was warm and welcoming the team were led from the front by Karina who kept things running smoothly and efficiently we will be returning in the new year.

Arrived and checked in quickly. Went to the bar and had a couple of drinks and some food. Service and food was good. The room however, was very disappointing. Bed was uncomfortable and furnishings were basic. The worst part was the bathroom. The shower is so small it suites a small child rather than an adult. Also lots of mould and loose damp paint and wallpaper. The sink also showed signs of leaking. Incredibly poor standard. Very poor considering the cost of the room!

We received a really warm welcome and order lovely flat white coffees after our dog walk. Although December it was a sunny day and warm enough to sit outside in one of their sheltered areas and the barman even turned on one of the heaters in case we needed it. We will return, thank you!

My nan and I come here at least 3 times a week at lunch. Absolutely outstanding food and service from staff. Katrina (The Manager) is always jolly and happy and always greets customers with a smile! We usually get served by Ella who’s customer service is outstanding too! Today we had a change and were served by Joe who was great! Thanks guys! (Table 20)

Good friendly service but furnishings and paintwork well overdue for refurbishment. Food is OK but not as good as similar local establishments like Greave Dunning. Service is good but staff must be demoralised working in such poor surroundings. Marstons....invest some money and this could be a popular destination pub/restaurant !

Another wonderful stay at The Green Lodge Hotel. We stay here numerous times throughout the year as it’s our favourite place in Hoylake. The staff are so friendly & welcoming and can’t do enough for you. We had dinner & breakfast and the food is just so delicious and the service is outstanding. Thankyou so much Karina & gang. We look forward to seeing you again at Christmas. Faye & Craig ❤️
