Hello, I don’t usually write reviews but after staying at this shoddy excuse of a hotel I feel a duty to warn others who are visiting in the future, firstly we were made to wait out side at 8 pm in the -14 degrees for 2.5 hours and secondly on departure we were told that there was a €800 fine for damage the damage was finger prints on microwave, mirror and stains on the floor which we did not cause and when we went to eat our first meal on the first night after eventually being let in the cutlery in the draw wasn’t clean with food scabs on them. We were left without hot water for 72 hours and when we asked about it we were told 2 hours max and were dismissed like door mat

We stayed in 743. 10-17th April. The place was nice. 2 bed 2 bath + separate toilet. Spacious (for 2 anyway), big kitchen table as part of a larger reception area opening out onto a great view of the slopes from a nice outside terrace! (You could sleep 7, though with gear that may be a push. 4 or 5 would be fine). Apartment was just like the photos we were shown. Its a nice lively place. The apartment is a little tired, but not bad and to be expected for these types of apartments, ive found. The shower door on my shower was fiddly to shut at first, for example. The twin beds were very narrow, i was able to push mine together though. The location couldn't be any better, it is right in the middle of the town and about a 5-10 min walk with your gear to the Alpe Express cable car which takes you to the Bergers chair lifts in about another 5 mins. There are lots of dishes/pots/pans and cutlery for self catering. I think the bed linen needs to be requested (I think we did this twice by mistake and ended up with loads). Its basic but clean! We also had towels too. WiFi for our apartment wasnt free, sadly. So we didnt bother. All in all a pleasant stay. I would possibly give a higher rating, but our stay was blighted by all the other rooms on our floor being occupied by students who descended for a few days from the same Uni. They were all together and partied all night. Usual high jinks. Getting locked out and banging on the doors for about an hour etc. coming and going and shouting to each other every 45 mins throughout the night. I got some ear plugs though and that sorted that out, after two pretty sleepless nights. (The noise couldn't be heard from the other bedroom though.) Im not sure whether this was a massive booking failure, as we were twice the age of them. I went to request another room, but reception was closed at that point. One thing to note is that you pick up and drop off the keys at a different location, about 10 mins walk away.

Easy and efficient check in. Well appointed rooms/bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, toilet and storage areas. All mods cons, with cleaning/hoovering appliances. Clean and tidy on arrival. Space will always be at a premium but ........ you get what you pay for. Heating worked fine and was fully adjustable. There was an abundance of hot water at all times. There is a reception area. We had a lovely balcony overlooking slopes/lifts, with 2 easy chairs. There was a safe in wardrobe. Appt is right next to the ski hire shop and about an easy 8 mins walk to lifts (up or downhill) and right off the main drag/high street with numerous bars and restaurants and a minutes walk to a large SPAR supermarket. There are numerous fast food places about. We recommend you book any restaurants in the first few days!!

Basic - yes. Small - yes. Functional - yes. As someone once told us, basic is fine but things should work and be clean. We had mould on the ceiling in the bathroom and bedroom. The mould has been sorted whilst we’ve been here-but the cleaning staff should be reporting so guests don’t have to. Holes have been filled but not painted over. The shower has bits missing. A bath panel is a makeshift piece of board. A double glazed window has blown. We have lived with it all. But tonight we’re packing to leave. I’ve gone under the beds to check we’ve not left anything and found two dirty glasses and a pair of knickers from a previous occupant. They have the audacity to ask Tenants to clean the kitchen when they can’t even do the basics. This is our 2nd P&V stay (previously in Avoriaz) where the standard has been so low. Considering this is the same company as Centerparcs there is no comparison. We are no easily fazed, but are not happy.

Le plus : personne de l’accueil très souriante ! Le reste : Les achats d’immeubles par P & V il y a 40-50 ans oui c’était bien, c’était le luxe ! Normal, c’était neuf. Ca sent que P&V va bientôt quitter les lieux, car ils ne se soucis pas de l’entretien et de l’avenir du bâtiment. Aujourd’hui c’est toujours dans son jus. Les propriétaires ne font pas de rénovation de leur appart’ et P & V loue ça une blinde. Imposer une bonne literie c’est pas du luxe en montagne !!!! Résidence l’Ours Blanc à Alpe d’Huez , appartement 932, UNE HONTE !!!!!!!! Entre le moisie, les ustensiles de cuisine dégueulasse, et j’en passe…. Ça ne donne pas envie d’investir, NI DY REVENIR ! L’arrivée a été fortement gâchée par la découverte de cet appartement, mais ne nous a pas empêché de profiter de notre séjour (quoique, la qualité de la literie ) Si vous y louez un appartement, demandez des photos CONFORMES avant votre arrivée !!! SUGGESTIONS POUR PIERRE & VACANCES : vous voulez être écolo et faire des économies (par la même occasion) ne mettez pas le petit savon/shampooing sec. On apporte nos affaires, pas de soucis ! Parcontre, par soucis d’écologie, vous pouvez envoyer moins d’e-mail ! Et si vous pouvez faire enlever le « ding-ding » de l’ascenseur, ca sera un petit plus pour les apparts’ à côté. En gros, ça ne vaut pas son prix !! Sinon, super station et bon séjour

L'hôtel est bien situé dans le village. Les commerces sont à proximité (boulangerie, traiteur, magasin Spar qui est très bien achalandé etc ..) Notre chambre était au 6ème étage avec ascenseur. Vous pouvez récupérer un chariot au 3ème étage avec un jeton pour décharger vos bagages. Au deuxième étage vous avez la laverie. 7€ pour une machine de 10Kg avec la lessive fournie. 4.50€ pour le sèche linge. La vue depuis le balcon de notre logement n'était pas formidable car on voyait le dessus des toits de la galerie commerciale. Notre résidence était grande avec une grande chambre équipée d'un grand lit et télé. Deux salles de bain. Un seul WC (cela aurait été parfait avec deux) La chambre des enfants était assez grande. De nombreux placards de rangement. Un salon avec deux canapés dont un convertible. Les ampoules dans les salles de bain et la cuisine étaient de faible puissance et on y voyait pas bien. La cuisine est équipée d'une plaque vitrocéramique. Un style de plaque que je n'aime pas du tout. Pas de vrai four mais un micro onde. De fait , faire la cuisine est très limité. Il y a une cafetière électrique, bouilloire et grille pain. Il n'y a pas de sèche cheveux dans la salle de bain mais les serviettes sont fournies.
