Royal Ours Blanc Boutique Hôtel & Spa

We enjoyed a week at the hotel on HB basis. Rooms were spacious with a fantastic Mountain View from the balcony. The bath was large and we never had any issues with hot water. Breakfast was plentiful with hot buffet or continental with delicious fresh bread and croissants. The walk to the nearest runs was about 10 minutes and not a problem for us (we are boarders). We ate at 7.30pm every night (you need to book your table) and there was a good choice of 3 course meals every day. The food was tasty and hot and we didn’t have any issues with anything running out. The staff were super friendly throughout. We didn’t use the pool or spa so can’t comment on that. The only improvement would be for the rooms to be ready for arrival. We got there at 12 and rooms weren’t ready until 4 which was a little disappointing as the previous guests would have left at 6am that morning. Other than that we had a very enjoyable stay.

Hotel rooms are great. Plenty of space and light and bathrooms good too. Majority of staff are excellent. Location is ok. Bit of a walk to slopes in the morning and more of a walk getting back. Breakfast is good. What let the hotel down was the grumpy front of house lady at evening meals and the lack of food choice and food. If you don’t make the first sitting at 7pm they have always run out of the decent dishes and there were only a couple. Quality of food on first 2 nights was good. Then went downhill. Boot room is cramped and boot warmers never worked even though someone was supposed to be coming to fix them

Iam heart broken about this was ment to be a trip of a life time I found this hotel on line as it looked stunning to find out they are scammers and Have harassed me for money when i have already paid in full I was then notified from a friend who was staying they charged him for my hotel for no reason Iam so angry I have been ripped of and all I do is get ignored I have sent email after email no response this hotel scammed me and it has not just affected me for me now to feed my children this month is going to be a struggle as I had to give money to my friend who they had taken payment from with no explanation I will be seeking legal advice I suggest no one and I mean no one to stay at the premises they will rob you

Well well well, where do I start with this place!! Came on a skiing holiday with my girlfriend for 4 days and it’s safe to say the royal ours blanc hotel ruined our holiday. We was on the same flight as 2 couples who are from our area and have mutual friends, we ate out a few nights and got to know eachover better, they had an issue with the hotel as the payment system on the hotels end was not working, they had confirmation via email and also shown on there bank statement that they have payed the full hotel fee before they even arrived. As I checked out this morning everything was fine on my end got on the plane and arrived home safe and sound, I then received an email from the hotel saying they have debited £1,130.65 from my account as my FRIENDS payment didn't go though. Not only is this illegal but it is very unprofessional. ( I have attached screenshots of the email). I have now Been charged for someone else’s stay, I have no way of getting the money back off the hotel and my friend has already paid his bill and has full proof and confirmation of this. Not only did this happen, they “ACCIDENTALLY” charged me £435 twice (£870) and told me they will transfer it back to me. After having to constantly hassle them for my money back they only sent me £830 back, so not only have they charged me for someone else’s stay they have also short changed me £40!!! The rooms here are an absolute disgrace. No towels get changed and not fresh bottles of shower gel and shampoo get changed either, you have to go to the reception and ask for them yourself! The breakfast here is appalling, everything is cold, there is never any fresh juice as they don’t replace it when it’s empty & they don’t change the fruit, the fruit was sat there for days on end and gone mouldy (photos attached). I have emailed them back that I will be taking this matter to court if I don’t receive MY money back within 3-5 working days and still have no response. Guys please please please stay as far away from this hotel as possible. It is absolutely shocking here!!!!

My sister and I booked to use the spa, as non-residents of the hotel, during my weeks ski holiday. The booking was really easy in advance, with prompt responses to my emails. The team were more than accommodating in offering a slightly tailored spa package for 1 hour use of facilities, a 30 minute massage and cocktail in the bar (rather than the breakfast which is their usual offering). The jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were ideal for soothing aching muscles after days of skiing, and it was evident they hadn't over booked, so there weren't too many guests. The massage was very relaxing, and finished off with a lovely cocktail sat in the hotel bar. The customer service throughout was excellent. The spa receptionist in particular, was so friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend, and would definitely return. A lovely experience!

Excellent stay. Staff were lovely and gave us a nice surprise for our anniversary. The hotel is well situated and plenty of shops/restaurants within short walking distance. The swimming pool is warm and relaxing - a good chilled vibe. Breakfast has an excellent selection with a chef making fresh omlettes/crepes. Room was a lovely size with excellent shower and bath. Beds were super comfy and great views over the mountains. If we come back to Alpe D'huez then I would 100% return. A great stay and recommended.
