Huntington Inn

Many problems with this motel. This was a very basic, no-frills motel which was fine because I was just staying one night. There was a fridge; microwave; TV; small bottle of shampoo; very small piece of soap. Bed was comfortable. I was promptly checked in by a nice receptionist. I booked online, and the room with one bed at $60 was advertised as "smoking". I really wanted a non-smoking room, so I booked the $70 non-smoking room with two beds. When I checked in, I found out the one bed room was actually "non-smoking". I had already booked the $70 "non-smoking room with 2 beds, but, since I was traveling alone, the receptionist switched me to the one bed $60 room and said it was actually non-smoking. That was fine, but he still charged me the $70 rate. I did not quibble about this, it just wasn't worth it for $10. My room had a broken door lock; water stains no curtains; no drinking glass; thin towels; no lotion; no coffee maker; no breakfast but advertised as having continental breakfast; tub/shower floor was slippery; no Kleenex; very short cord on dryer making it hard to dry my hair; black marks like a permanent marker on the bathroom countertop. Although the room was clean and the bed was comfortable, it really needs updating with repairs made. They also need to correct the mistakes on their website.

I was blow away by the room, I wasn’t expecting the rooms to be absolutely perfect but I couldn’t have been farther from the truth, the bad reputation this motel has earned in the years prior truly does no Do it justice anymore. I would highly recommend and take advantage of this deal. Far Better then paying 150 vs. 50 when comparing to a big brand hotel vs this hidden jem
