Walton House

Walton House was excellent. We loved it so much we extended our stay! Quality fittings and cleanliness. The shared lounge and garden area an added bonus and felt just like home. It was convenient to walk into the centre for shops and eating. Check in was easy and the owners very responsive. It really made our stay in southern Tasmania special.

Lovely guest rooms at Walton House My friend and I took both rooms so we had the communal lounge to ourselves, which created a great space. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished and we had everything we needed in the small kitchenette. The rooms were spotless and we enjoyed our stay. Very convenient for getting to Bruny Island.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Walton House. The room was beautifully styled, a very large room with luxury bedding, modern bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen with gourmet tea and coffee. We were also provided with a lovely breakfast pack. The shared living room had a wonderful fire and very comfortable sitting area. The hosts made sure we felt at home and their attention to detail was very much appreciated. Will definitely go back again.

We had a very lovely stay at Walton House at Huonville. The room was large and beautifully appointed with luxurious bed linens and first class furnishings. You are treated to gourmet tea and coffee facilities and delicious Tasmanian fudge and local apple juice. A delicious continental breakfast box with quality ingredients is waiting to be enjoyed in your well equipped kitchenette . A beautiful ensuite bathroom with a large rain shower and the choice of a hand held shower as well makes the stay even more luxurious. Everything is tasteful and styled with comfort in mind. The shared living room has a wonderful ambience with a blend of modern and heritage charm. It comes with a warm fireplace to sit by on comfortable chairs . The Wonderful hosts have provided many special features to make a truly wonderful stay . Nothing is too much trouble We will be back to this lovely property next visit to Tasmania. A truly relaxing and sophisticated stay .

What a complete surprise awaited us on arrival at Walton House, beautiful old home and gorgeous gardens but the true hidden treasures awaited us behind the entrance. Wow! I think come to everyone’s mind when we open the doors to the guest room, mix of old antiques with modern decor, giving guests the wow factor. What a delight to see such fine detail displayed throughout all the rooms with such thought given to every little aspect. The fireplace was certainly a hit and a lovely addition ticking away in the evening, comfortable bed, pillows and luxurious bed linen, a well appointed kitchenette, a breakfast pack full of scrumptious goodness to help us on our way in the morning was also a delight. Parking isn’t as issue. Location is within walking distance to the Main Street where you can find cafes, restaurants, hotels and supermarkets. Nothing is too much for the owners an I can say this, as the men enjoyed the bath products so much I contacted Sarah and she delivered them to me in Hobart…… So word of advice, if you do like any of the products, please ask before you leave! My only negative… we didn’t stay long enough but if ever in Tassie again we will definitely be back but will be booking for a longer stay. You will not be disappointed with your stay at Walton House, clean, comfortable and quiet.

We had a lovely two-night stay at Walton House, while visiting family in the Huon Valley. We were very comfortable at the property and the bathroom was well appointed - great shower. It was useful having a small kitchen and the breakfast pack, left for our arrival, was perfect for two light breakfasts. The property is close to the many shops, restaurants and cafes in Huonville and the detailed local guide in the room was very useful. Sarah was quick to respond to any additional requests and ensured that our stay was as comfortable as could be.
