On the positive side: Very nice hotel. Rooms are large and comfortable. The hotel complex is vast, it's obscenely huge! Staff are generally attentive. Food is very good and lots of variety. Mostly well behaved/reapectful European clientele (including the British for once!). Not a destination that would suit the Benidorm demographic, this is excellent for an 'all inclusive'. You can get involved in the entertainment or avoid it completely which is refreshing, having been to too many hotels where you can't escape it. Bar is good with beer, wine, cocktails and spirits included. Things that could be better: Continually being asked if you want a camel ride, massage or snorkel trip when sat by the pool. They disrupt you when you're reading or having a conversation. Annoying, intrusive and unacceptable! The hotel relies on a poorly designed webpage, even when you are stood in reception asking questions you are referred to the ****** website. You need to book your a la carte restaurant early as they fill up. Use the chuffing website, realise there is no space and then go to speak to their restaurant booking lady.

Our 2nd visit in 6 months. There is a variety of wonderful food. The staff can’t do enough for you. The place is constantly kept clean including the pools and the gardens. Would highly recommend and will be back again. Really good value for money and the weather is a bonus.

Wow what an experience! We went to blue marine for 10 days and have just returned as a family of 4; with two young children aged 4 and 1. From the moment we arrived staff were on hand to help wherever possible, making it a breeze through check in with the two children in the heat. The pools and entertainment during the day are brilliant. The children are always involved in everything and the only issue we had with the pools was getting our 4 year old out of them! Again, staff are fantastic and making everyone feel welcome and included, even at their ages. My daughter, (1), loved doing aqua aerobics in her floating fish. The food was great for children. If you’re looking for fine dining in a peaceful or somewhat posh setting then this isn’t for you. For families it is just brilliant with a large variety every evening for something new to try. A special mention to Omar who works in the top restaurant above reception of Jaz Bluemarine. He was attentive always and his commitment to his job is evident. He would be backwards and forwards to entertain the children and make us feel special, as we could see him doing with many other families. We will never forget him and would return to see him if he was still there. Absolutely brilliant and a real credit to the hotel! The rooms are cleaned daily with the cleaners interacting with the children. Again a special mention to Arafat who cleaned our room. He made amazing animals and scenes on the bed from towels and the children’s toys. Every day the children couldn’t wait to get upstairs and see what he had put an obscene amount of effort into that day, just to make the holiday unforgettable. All in all an amazing holiday and would recommend it to anyone. The only issue we had as a family was at hurghada airport. Staff are rude and it’s like something out of the 1970s so with small children they felt very intimidated. Thank you so much for such an amazing family holiday!

I am writing this while waiting to be picked up for our return flight and while all is fresh in my head. Firstly it's important to say that the Blue Marine and Aqua Marine are effectively the same hotel do not sure why they are marketed separately but you can use the facilities in both hotels at any time. If you are looking for a smaller quieter hotel then this is not the place for you. My review is based on what I paid against Tui rating of 4.5 stars. I would say this hotel is closet to a 4 star than a 5, some really good elements and some not so good. The grounds are amazing and vast, so well kept by the staff, the public areas, outside and all the inside bars are fantastic, all clean and look like recently updated. We found the service to be really good, table service for drinks every night and we never waited long. Cocktails are okay, we tried to find a decent Pina Colada in every bar and all failed. The other cocktails are just okay. The beer is pretty decent but skip the local wine if you like your wine. We ate in the Ninos Italian and the Asian, both were okay but I would have been disappointed if we had paid for it. Food was okay but it was a little showy with little authentic substance. Food was perfectly fine though dependant on your own expectations and standards. The service was excellent in both restaurants but be warned, they shove a QR code under your nose while you are eating dessert asking for a TripAdvisor review and then ask to see it!! Buffet restaurants were hit and miss, some nights good and others not so good. A couple are in desperate need of a an update, they look very tired and dingy. All the cakes for dessert look incredible but taste of nothing, we tried at least 20 different ones....all tatsed the same....of nothing. Again, table service excellent. Our room was so tired and out dated, curtains hanging off the rail,cracked tiles, and only 1 socket to charge phones etc. Air-conditioning just about did thr job. You do get free bottled water every day in the mini bar which you can de-cant into your own water bottle, we did this each day. The bed was horrendous, so hard it was like sleeping on the floor, pillows also hard. After the 6th night I nearly got used to it! A lot of people were tipping but this didn't seem to get them anything extra or anything quicker. We did tip our room cleaner and our poolside waiter before we left today but unlike some we did not tip after every drink. People on here moaning about the weather are nuts. What do you expect when you go out of season? Yes the evenings were little cool, the sea is cold as are a few of the pools but this isn't the hotels fault. The evenings were getting warmer each night though. Overall we enjoyed our week and had no issues with dodgy stomachs. A great choice if you just want a week of sun and a getaway from the crap weather in the UK.

All the staff are amazing, they can't do enough for you. Food and drink is lovely. Rooms really comfortable, Ahmed Hassan was very attentive supplying drinks round the pool all day. Weather perfect, will definitely come back. Loads of restaurants to chose from and plenty of sun beds.

Visited with mate for retirement de-stress. Food and drinks are excellent with Ahmed Ragab frequently getting us hot & cold beverages at the island burger bar!! Great resort, friendly staff and all very helpful. No pressure for tipping anywhere. (We shall tip at the end of our stay to compensate their efforts) Great resort, lots of space and amenities. I wouldn't hesitate to bring young children. Pools and water excellent. Not even a shock getting in.
