We stayed in the Breakers hotel, specifically for a diving holiday. The hotel has a lovely decor and ambiance, with lots of areas to relax. We especially liked the pool in the evening, bar area for coffee and the hammock type beds by the beach. The food is varied and very good, with a huge choice, especially very good for vegan and vegetarian people. The bread was especially good and a very nice surprise for us. The waiting staff were very good, especially the servers at breakfast and the servers in the bar where we had coffee every day. A negative for us was probably what makes the resort a huge attraction to your main clientelle, which is that, as a British and Irish couple, we were far and away in the minority of the demographic of the people at the hotel. We haven’t ever visited a large hotel resort where it was predominantly one demographic. We did feel outsiders for this reason. I can see how the predominance of German language and culture makes it attractive to your main clients. But thinking you want to attract people from other European countries, Australia, Asia, Canada, USA etc, the hotel may need to look at how people are greeted and assumed to be German (Austrian etc). Overall, a very nice hotel. Just a bit too German for us.
