Royal Lagoons Resort & Aqua Park Families and Couples Only

Just returned from a 10 night stay and was totally underwhelmed with this hotel. From the moment we entered our room we had a problem. 1 of the beds were broken and when l tried to call reception, found the phone was broken too. The towels in the room were small and past their best with holes and stains. Overall the hotel was grubby. Plastic table mats were never cleaned and the windows and surfaces were also dirty. Dirty surfaces were probably the cause of the fly infestation we suffered. Trying to eat your meals with flies landing on you or your food was so annoying. They did send in 1 pest controller with a handheld fly zapper The food was eatable but not enjoyable and didn’t vary. I was bored eating the same things and even the 1 visit to the fish restaurant we found exactly the same food as the main restaurant. The entertainment was rubbish and not worth waiting until 22.00 for. WiFi in the hotel is practically non existent and after logging in you can’t open websites or even email. Relaxing by the pool is difficult with the constant interruption from staff trying to sell you a massage/ beauty treatment, a trip outside of the hotel or photographs . They do operate a do not disturb sign but they just ignore this. Thank god for the glorious weather and a good book.

I did not expect what happened even in the worst hotels in Hurghada،My family and I stayed there on September 12th(villa 43, ground floor). On the second day of the stay, we noticed water on the floor of the room. At first we thought it was from the air conditionar. I told the reception, (Wael) , two times at that day, and he promised me to solve the problem, when we returned in the evening,We found that nothing happened. Before eating dinner, I told the reception again, a female employee, about the problem. She assured that she would solve it, but nothing happened either. On the last day of the stay, I went to them and Wael was there, I asked him why you didn't fix our room problem, he said rudly you told me it is the conditionar and I sent someone and found that the conditionar is OK,!!!!!!!!!!! I told him what, I didn't know the cause of the water, it is your responsibility to fix the problem whatever the cause. He didn't Handle the problem, didn't give us another romm and he even didn't say sorry!!!! thank you royal lagoons for that horrible and unexpected vacation.

Good hotel clean rooms enough sun beds location great. Drinks Gin/7up not nice. some good bars outside back gate along Mamsha Moby Dick AlDau a must visit. Always busy at dinner same menu each week so repetitive shame as it is good food. Enjoy

This is a dated 3 star at most. Aqua park ?? a few very small slides into heated pool. Beds are comfortable. Had to ask for extra pillows. They are over used and provide no support in the middle. The bedsheets do not fit around the mattress so end up like a fajita if you move during sleep. The over bath shower has great pressure, yet the screen has no seal around it so water floods onto floor. The sealant around basin etc is old and needs renewed. The rooms were made up daily, yet not cleaned very well. Had several issues with no toilet roll or towels left. The spirits are disgusting. I could run a car on them, horrific taste. Horrible burning aftertaste , i tried most of them and they all have the same burning sensation at back of throat. Mixers are from large plastic bottles so tend to get flat quickly. And put into horrible cheap plastic cups. The beer is bottled and ok, Yet never chilled enough to actually enjoy. Ask the staff to put in beside the ice for a bit. Some staff work hard and aim to please. Tip them 50 Egyptian Pounds ( about 70p ) and they will look after you . Mario inside the lobby works hard, the rest maybe not so hard. If you want table service. Sit nearer the bar and away from reception. The food... Very small selection in a badly laid out restaurant. Repetitive yet tastes fine if you can find something to go with chips. Chicken is the easiest option. No chicken nuggets etc if you have kids. Snacks at big pool bar in morning consists of doughnut balls and honey. That is it... Afternoon snack is pizza and chips. Nothing else. Wifi is only in lobby, seating is taken up quickly at night so best get there early. Or buy a 20GB sim for £10 like I did. Makes life easier. Beach is great , can walk to it in 15 min or bus regular and fast. Chips and burgers for lunch down there. Nothing else offered. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. the big wooden sunbeds at the unheated pool are the comfiest. Use the shops outside rear of hotel for crisps , juice and chocolate. A fraction of the overpriced shop in hotel. Mena in the hotel leather shop works hard to do a good deal. Use the cash machines out the back of hotel at Steinberger Hotels. Get a far better exchange rate.

Very nice hotel we had a good holiday in egypt the weather was perfect and warm the rooms are clean everyday the restaurants very nice and delicious food Entertainment team are perfect and always fully energy's Waiters so friendly We will back next year

It's third time here for us in this hotel and we will come here every year. Everything here is very nice Food tasty and room clean always and beach very big and warm water Entertainment team this year very very special i loved all of them Thanks for everything ❤️❤️
