Hotel Moeesy, Blue & Green Oasis

We stayed for 2 nights at the Moeesy and had a wonderful time. The room was so comfortable and had a beautiful view of the sea. The pool area was a great place to relax and the food was delicious at both breakfast and the pool bar. The staff are so friendly and warm and helped us so much to feel at home. Highly recommend this hotel just a 10 minute walk from the main town so you get the best of a quiet stay while being close to all the action.

We stayed at Moeesy Hotel for our wedding anniversary, and what made it truly special was Kristina, the concierge. She completely saved the day by resolving a complicated issue with our booking agency—something that could have ruined our trip. She handled it quickly, professionally, and with a smile. Kristina also created a fantastic itinerary for us, filled with amazing recommendations on Hvar and even for our next destination. Her sense of service is unmatched—she truly gets what hospitality is all about. Huge thank you to Kristina and the Moeesy team for making our anniversary unforgettable. 👏👏👏👏

I would give this hotel over 5 stars if I could. The service is incredible. The hotel is modern and incredibly clean, the breakfast buffet is AMAZING, the rooms were great, the pool is nice and the beach access was awesome! From the moment we got off the ferry, we were greeted with someone to take our bags to the hotel. Which is something I didn’t know we needed, but we did. All you have to do is call the hotel a few hours before and let them know what ferry you will be on. The walk from city center to the hotel is about 15 minutes, but it’s pretty right on the ocean and is a beautiful and safe walk. I never felt uncomfortable walking as a female alone to the city. But the thing that stood out was the overall attentiveness and service at this hotel. I’ve never stayed at a hotel with service this good. I’m not kidding. From the front desk, to the maids, to bartenders etc. EVERYONE was amazing. Marco who was the night manager is truly the best person I’ve ever met staying at a hotel. My husband and I looked forward to our nightcaps at the bar so we could chat with Marco. He is the definition of amazing service. He would make us food at any time that we wanted, and would drop anything and everything to make sure the guests are getting the best. We ran into him multiple times while being in the city and he always remembered us. He is a one of a kind person when it comes to service and hotel Moeesy is so so lucky they have him. We would sleep in a little longer and would keep our do not disturb sign on the door, but when we flipped it to need service, the room would be cleaned within the hour. It was truly insane how fast they were. We also used their laundry service and our laundry was done, folded and in our room within a few hours. Breakfast buffet in the morning was the best I’ve had, and Bojan was very attentive and kind. I would put in an omelette order at the buffet and he would insist that I sit down and he will bring it to me. He was constantly checking in on everyone and making sure that everyone had what they needed, and this was a breakfast buffet! He did not have to do that! We will forever remember our incredibly experience here and can’t wait to come back!

If I could rate this hotel a 10/5 it still wouldn’t be enough. We were met at the dock following an hour speed boat journey from Split airport for our luggage to be collected and the hotel is a short 5 minute walk. Kristina and Mia on reception welcomed us and from that moment we felt part of the Moeesy family. The hotel was built in 1929 and was very sympathetically restored a few years ago. The rooms are immaculate and our room had a lovely terrace with comfy furniture. Turn down service every evening. I cannot thank Kristina enough for all her help and advice. No matter how busy she is she takes time to ensure your holiday is amazing, from booking our car hire and sunset sailing cruise to advice on which islands to visit. The breakfast choice is incredible with an egg station and every member of staff being so accommodating and welcoming and nothing ever being too much. We also enjoyed all our chats with Marco on the evening reception and Dyana (sorry if not correct spelling) on the omelette station. We also enjoyed wonderful massage’s which were a gift from the hotel for our wedding anniversary. The hotel is located an easy stroll from the main centre of Hvar and has a beautiful infinity swimming pool and discounted sun loungers on the beach just below the hotel. For us the hotel Moeesy definitely was an oasis and we can’t wait to return to enjoy the Moeesy magic again.

This is the biggest scam of all hotels on the island of Hvar. After choosing Hotel Moessy for our wedding weekend, we quickly learned they prefer to host anyone *but a Bride & Groom, and yes after 96 emails (because they don't have a software booking system as a 5 star hotel), we finally had everything organized. They don't like to host anyone associated with a wedding, yet - they still decided to host us (guess they need the cash after all) After collectively spending over 12K, we were left with arguably the worst memory of our entire wedding weekend, and we will never stay here or recommend this place to anyone. Our family never congregated as a group or even together at any point, this was separate family couples all choosing to just be in the same place during our special time. They treated us absolutely terrible. Angela at the front would not even look at us, nor would she greet us. Our room was a tiny box, and we were welcomed with - well, nothing. I am Croatian, and I am certain the leadership at this establishment has just about everything wrong- down to the frozen french fries, and microwave boxes sitting in the sun- that make you coffee in the morning. They claim everything is natural and that they follow all their guidelines. The poor staff (who is likely not from Croatia) tries their very best, hardworking trying to make a living, despite a terrible management team. If you do have to stay here, the staff is likely nervous but greet them with a smile & tip them in cash. While I tried to share this experience with the CEO, instead of greeting me with a normal response, he double downed and advised I had misunderstood the experience. To be clear, Stanislov, you entertained 96 emails of a Bride & Groom, as you counted. I would highly recommend, updating your website with a memo that you don't need the wedding community to fill your room vacancy - if you don't need it, that is. I have travelled the world, we are incredibly easy going people. This is not a 5 star hotel and this is not an establishment filled with the true Croatian spirit. We stayed 5 nights in June in the Moessy Suite with a family of four. It was fantastic from start to finish. A short walk to town, this is a special retreat away from the party scene while close enough to the action and dock to catch a private boat (we booked Segorent through the hotel). The hotel is family owned and extremely private compared to its competitors. Other than staying on a boat, this was by far the best luxury choice we saw for families and couples and reasonable compared to US and UK prices. There were mostly adults at the hotel pools, but the kids also loved them. The beach was close by, and the hotel provides umbrellas and chairs. The breakfast buffet included with the room overlooks the water and is varied and fabulous. But the highlight of the stay was the staff, particularly Kristina. Tourism is extremely important for the island and it shows. Absolutely gorgeous island that definitely rivals the best of the best in Europe. Do not miss this.
